At least Seed is willing to argue his point reasonably(citing sources, now that's new). You're welcome to espouse your opinion as much as possible, but if you have nothing but your own points to support it, nobody will believe you.

Back to original point.

Score at the end of the match doesn't = Skill because Score doesn't take into account several things.

1) Damaging a unit that is subsequently killed within say, 5 or 6 seconds. It doesn't tally Assists

2) Healing or Support a unit that subsequently kills a guy within 5 or 6 seconds. Another category of Assists.

3) Comparative strength. It doesn't take into account that your fully tuned Seraph Crimrose is overwhelmingly strong against Bob McNewbie's untuned level 5 default parts Destructor. Seraph's Score should not skyrocket from annihilating weak bots. It might take some account to Cost but as we all know not all costs are created equal.

4) Tanking. It doesn't take into account that you took 5k damage before being destroyed thanks to the help of your Support. You should be rewarded for having taken more damage during the duration of your life. (Not dieing repeatedly and taking lots of damage that way)

5) Damage against valuable targets. It doesn't take into account that you primarily dealt damage against Seraph Crimrose HDs. Bots that are stronger more should also provide for damage -> points.

6) Various other tidbits that would define someone of good skill. Is it good skill for a bot to provide cover fire and providing zone control while never actually hitting? The game doesn't think so.

If they added...

1) Assists

To the scoreboard it would promote teamplay. You are NOT rewarded for winning the match. You would get a better reward/score if you did nothing or damaged the enemy than did nothing than you would if you were in the fray and died.

I would usually get a better score these days if I shot a couple times and ran for cover with my TBG, because it doesn't help MY score to die to seraphs twice. Throws me into the negatives.

You are rewarded more UC and shit for doing things that lead to winning. You are not rewarded more UC and shit for being on the winning team with -1k score.

On a side note,

HD Seraph is OP and I will tell you why

6 (I think) shots that leave behind Chibi-bot sized zones of pain.

Each shot deals approximately 150-200 damage to any bot caught in the area.

Each shot has more homing than most missles.

Thats damage considered against my ART bot without Beam Guard. 18 TGH

Melee Bots with 40 Str deal 100-150 damage with their melee hits.

Its a mult-target zone-controlling aoe shot that deals more damage to ARTs than weapons ARTs are weak to.

Who in their right mind decided this was 'balanced'?

I might reduce some of that damage, 'maybe' down to 100 with 40 TGH. 75 with Beam Guard. I really don't have the resources nessecary to test that guesstimate.
