I find wide beamguns to still be quite effective weapons, against everything. Huge-ass beam-shot makes hitting those jikuns even easier. Beam rifles are also pretty effective once you get used to them, and have the added bonus of giving a good keep-away game against ARTs and minizook users.

Need to tune my 3 slot Plasma gun, but cannot affod to loose more walk

If you're going to tune it, I'd just do a flat Force tune on it.

And even though they don't hit as hard as plasma, they cost ~120 less and have larger bullets, thus performing well. Example:
