Amlim Cardinal?

So having gotten everything I wanted from the shop I decided to fuck it and rolled halloween gara a last few times in hopes to get alcy, didn't get her but I got amlim and mellow in two consecutive x1s.

Now, I've learned to not judge how "good" a bot is by how many people use her but I've literally only seen one other person use her in arena lately and they ended almost dead last, I've tried her and she seems to have some interesting gimmicks to her what with the charge delay bats and the freaking 400 range mega blood shooter, but a lot of people have told me to not use her because she's just not up to today's meta and though I haven't had much of a chance to do the logical thing and try her out fully myself, I'm bored so I figured "let's make another thread!"

So since I'm already here and I like getting second opinions, I thought I'd ask around and see what people think of her. Is she worth using in today's meta? Should I invest in tuning her? Why the frick is she so phat? Is she really a siscon?

And more importantly what would be good tunes for her weapons? I'm just sitting on force tunes on both the bats and the mega blood shooter cause +1 force with no ammo penalty, should I G.rapid the bats? Or maybe slap a gforce or something on them cause 7 force seems unimpressive.

Also, is it a good idea to keep both weapons as debuffs don't stack? I haven't had much of a chance to do much with her yet but I find myself using the bats most of the time due to the blood shooter's hefty cooldown time, someone compared it to Thoarla Callisto's AM but I don't really know if her damage is that high.

So yeah, wanna know people's thoughts on her to see if I bring her up in my tuning priority or if I stick to my shitty alpha alba for now.




While we're at it, is Mellow usable at all anymore? She feels like she went from OP to meh-tier --;

Isn't original amlim better suited to be the alpha?

Applying charge delay to anything that shoots means you can stomp them with minimal effort

the cores are pretty much the same outside of stat distribution. Original blood shooter is a weapon usable in MB if that is what you mean.

Mega Blood shooter is a ridiculous weapon. It has 400 range and 500 speed and 33 force. It's incredibly accurate.

Note that blood shooters DO NOT APPLY A DEBUFF AUTOMATICALLY. You do NOT overwrite charge delay or anything else by hitting with blood shooter. Powerless is applied when the enemy tries to use a subweapon while they are affected by stakes. Charge delay is helpful because if you are being shot, you can charge delay something to prevent it from fighting back, but remember that mega blood shooter is a long range weapon and you generally shouldn't be getting shot to begin with.

I ran into an alpha mialy T with a full load of railguns actually doing good and now everything I know is wrong.

I did get a chance to mess around with mine a bit and that blood shooter does seem quiiiite nice at 40 tec with a single force tune. Would it be ideal to remove the bats and just main the blood shooter, then? I checked the older threads and there's an unresolved debate about how the bats are super awesome, etc etc, though if I did keep them I'd probably just use them in between blood shooter clips and I do have both a rapid pulse missile and a crystal beam gun I can slap on her instead. Personally I think she looks better without the six crosses following her around but if aesthetics come dead last for me when it comes to building bots I'll actually be using.

I've taken a liking for the shooter but I got no clue what tunes to put on it as despite being really good I feel it could be a bit better, especially considering the ~3 sec or so cooldown after use. I was thinking adding either force or speed but it already has fairly low ammo to begin with. It currently just has an EXTREMELY lucky normal force tune I put on it without protectors thinking it was a locked part. SO glad it didn't fail, and I REALLY need to start paying more attention to stuff and stop tuning things at 5 am in the morning.

I did notice he was using her earlier but just for the end of a match so he didn't get to do much with her. I'll keep an eye out though, if his is really the best in EN then I ought to pick a thing or two to adapt to my own playstyle, thanks for the pointer.

you will not get something better than 70cost charge delay for a way to defend yourself up close, which is all you'd want in addition to the blood shooter.

So after messing around a bit I decided to leave the mega blood shooter with just a force tune on it and slap a g.rapid beta and a force tune on the bats. I'm thinking 500 speed's fine for 400 range, not that I'm using the blood shooter from max range most of the time anyway and when I do it hits cause stuff has no idea I'm shooting at it.
I'm tempted to put a g.rapid on it, but low ammo is suffering. with almost 1400 cost without any capa tunes I feel I don't want to be dying too much with her.

I'm iffy on the g.rapid tune on the bats though since they got ridiculous homing already, I might drop it just to slap a swift jet BS and rework a few tunes... I basically want to give them a good chance to hit since they've saved my butt a few times already, but I don't know if 45 speed on a weapon with 300 speed is worth the 20 cost.

Am I doing this right?


EDIT: Strangely enough I ran into a few people using her in arena today. Why is it that people remove the bats and use nothing but her blood shooter? It's bugging me now after I tried out her bats.

because people are bad at this game.

Because ppl are dumb and can't use more than 1 main weapons,
except when they are doing alpha shit...
