| Problem with Kotoura-san is that the show drops the harsh, dark side for romantic comedy. They do pick it up, but it then stays shallow, in comparisson to the first ten minutes of the first episode.
Chevalier d'Eon is a bit gloomy, with some action and intrigue, but I have often felt like it was a sour apple I had to bite through, before getting to the good part. Don't know if your friend would loke it Reli.
Wolf's rain is old, but it does have a good animation and isn't always that gloomy (even if the whole story doesn't portray sunshine and smiles).

| I'd also like to recommend Sanctuary, Palepoli, Blue Drop (not the prequel), Devilman, Domu, Akira, Qualia the Purple. - Spoiler:
100 bullets, house of mystery, just a pilgrim, Nemesis the warlock, the Question by Dennis O'neil (don't read the annuals and shit)

| She's such a noob that Death Note might have slipped her grasp. Thanks for all the suggestions, TrieDaEsprit! --- - Valky wrote:

She complained that Steins;Gate took too long to get interesting. Probably not for her. I'll check it out when I have time, myself, though! I never watched Wolf's Rain, but I think I liked the ED. Thanks, Valky! --- Oh, snap, never heard of any of those besides Akira and Qualia the Purple. Thanks a lot, Tuskin! --- Dog Days, huh? I don't know about that one. iKray wasn't too impressed about that one. I haven't watched it myself. Thanks for the suggestion, though, W.IF. --- Well, I sent her my initial list a few days ago while saying that I'll send more as I watch and read the stuff on the list you wonderful people have built up, but she didn't say anything in response. So I don't know if I reallyyyy want to create a list for someone like that. But please continue suggesting. If she doesn't want suggestions, I surely would and do appreciate it for myself, at least.
