Imo, PH isn't moving enough. The manga is too chaotic imo.

Even though I never played the game (pleb that I am), I liked the anime (still have like 2 episodes to go, though).

I loved Gosick's OP. Was about halfway done. Forgot about that one!

A lot of supernatural anime fit in the 'dark' theme. So do anime about afterlife.

Except it wasn't? The closest was the last part, which got ruined by the writer deciding to be a dumbfuck and give Yuri the spotlight.

I don't understand the way you decide something is 'dark'.

It doesn't need to be dark looking or have a lot of blood or violence in it to be dark. It's a huge 'genre' where many kinds of anime can fit it. And it defiantly wasn't some happy school story.

P4 needed to stuff a huge ass chuck of story into itself.
For what it was, it was decent, with the ending portion(TRUE ENDING) having pulled something different from the game that's surprisingly haunting.

But it was a happy school story with 5% drama. Probably what made it so bad, because being unrelated the anime doesn't really make the shows good.

"dark" wasn't a genre last time I checked.

Yuru Yuri must fit in the dark genre. Akari had her mouth raped, twice, which made her stay, laying on the floor, with her mind completely broken.

I would recommend "Casshern SINS" if you are looking for something that has black and black morality, and as far as I see no one said "Death Note" yet, although that friend would probably HAVE done that. Have Anyone mentioned about "Bloody Monday"? Or "Hell Girl" Or "Another"? And although not a manga per-se (it's Manhwa) "Immortal Regis" and "Cavalier of the Abyss" would certainly count into darkness side and if "Angel Beats!" count, that would make "Little Busters!", "Clannad", "Air", and "Kanon" counts too, and since that counts as a sob story the two "AnoHana" would get in nicely, and if you are looking for something gloomier, try "Valvrave the Liberator", for something more black and white and more brutal, try the manga "The Simple Job of Having Your Blood Sucked by Kiryuin Kaya", and for something both cheery and dark, I think "Kotoura-san" should do, while you can also try to screw your own mind by watching things like "Chaos : Head"..... I better stop before I make a wall....
