Melee guide??? Empty
PostSubject: Melee guide???   Melee guide??? EmptyMon Oct 18, 2010 1:35 am

Hiya,

As a melee player, I end up running to the other side, and make a good 10 hits until I get a bunch of Ivis/Ouka/Cardfags/Hatispammers to come and kill me.

Up till now, I have been dealing with it and dodging it.

With only an hour left for OBT2,
I am sorta curious

How can I use my melee efficiently without suiciding?

I've considered

1. Hit and Run
2. Rely on guns
3. Avoid the said annoyances.
4. Do what Abolla told me to D:

ALL THESE DONT WORK D:

Help?

EDIT: Added to the list

Most the time I go with my trusty ZSG, then my MJG.

However, if all else fails, I use Ivis.
But, if I do, big changes.
I go from something like 19th to 8th.
Unless theres another Ivis user in top ten, which doesnt happen too often o.o, I get swordmaster.

I dun like that D:

Anyways,
I use ZSG
With a bayonet and a dragon fang.
At 1200 cost, its the most expensive and useless bot in the market Surprised although I like her... Surprised

Since you're using a ZSG, I'd recommend how my friend plays with his and rely on guns. Raid Rifle works well for him.

You've also said "Rely on guns DON'T WORK" So I suggested different guns since maybe it's the Bayonet and Dragon Fang is what is causing your problems.

Also I guess an important thing to his play-style, is that he knows when to stay in the back or go guns-ablazin with them. So learning timing (Like when you should attack or when you should fall back) would help you increase your chances of winning.

1. Cant risk taking bayonet off since i got tunes on it D:
2. I can't stay still sitting back. I just gotta do something.
3. The word timing doesnt exist in my dictionary D: I just go rampage D:

But thanks anyway I'll consider that.

go around and flank or backstab them.
even am Air this tactic is work and most of time i can escape before taking any damage.
but mostly am aim for Art since i use Combi-Dagger

dunno much if it was Ouka and Ivis, both should create nice chaos for them too.

1.Re-tune Riffle the same you would Bayonet?
2. Then farm items or something~ Items for team really helps (Especially Wonder Drugs and Whirlwinds)
3.Lol same here. but I would still try to pull back when my HP is low just to try and increase the chances of winning.

Thats what I really do. But low survivability trolls me.

Okay, so

1. I go and rape people
2. Within 20 seconds I get over 9000 hatispammers, cardfags etc etc.
3. Here I have one choice.
  • Do what I can in that short 2 seconds
  • Run
  • Find the nearest L bot and hide behind.

Now, I tend to go for the third option.

Really because I just enjoy trolling. Although that will be considered troll.

1. Unfortunately I do not have the parts to go and swap for points, to get tune parts.
2. I do not have the time leisure to go farm.

Now heres a story Tae...

This story starts like most do, with a noob.
Now, he does not have a clan, and only being played 3 days, is not very good at it.
One day, he takes part in a UC, Drop x8 event.
He plays.
He then realises he has enough money for a few garapons.
Now garapons are exactly like gambling, once you start you cant end it until you win.
Getting only random crap, he is most pleased when he gets a christmas zsg from it.
Its his first 'gained with hard work' bot.
He adds it to his commando of a lv 3 crim and a lv 4 lazflamme.
He soon abandons his crim and laz, and starts to take very very good care of the remainding zsg.
He ends up to a zsg that almost equals Ivis in power.
Does he want to junk that hard work?

Quote :

Well its pretty captain obvious lnds are faster than airs, and with that said, my zsg's wlk is 25.

My battery is running out, so ciao and see you tommorow as it is late for me D:

1.Garapon, Garapon, and Garapon some more. Then just junk the bots, go to Crimrose in Ground Area, and exchage for tune up stuff.
2. I meant farm during match (For example: You have 40 HP and you're at home PS. I would rather you farm 100 HP/Wonder Drugs to heal yourself than you go back out and cost BP.)

Why thank you, it is powered by the urge to keep fear alive. I am training my pets to help.

Hit and Run. Don't get carried away. If you have a gun, close in while firing then slash or strafe around until he gets stunned then run in and slash.

For added fun, tune your preferred melee weapon with all High Gladiators.

1. I to this day have come to hate garapon. I rolled x5 3 times and all 15 times I get tune crap
2. I have never really thought of that. Good point.

With a ZSG? I'm still training mine (and lol I cardfag around Very Happy) but so far it's been pretty good with any type of multi-shot rifle (I'm using 2 Assault Rifles personally) and with a decent walk of about 20 I manage to mostly outrun and outgun most of my targets (Which are air/artillery types).

I think the real problem is in your choice of Bayonet. It's got melee, I admit, but it also has pathetic range. Even with tunes it's still bloody useless as you won't be able to do what you should: melee or rifle (not both, I admit. TEC-STR builds are hard). You don't go for short range guns, lol.

Take out the bayonet and replace with Raid Rifle (or assault rifle. Raid Rifle fires four bullets while Assault fires three), then put a melee (you can try a rush dagger if you somehow have one) on the other hand. You can keep the Dragon Fang and just change the other melee, of course.

Well there are a few possibilities you can try out, but I have no idea if you're going to like any of them:

Hand Axe/Battle Axe are two underused melee weapons with decent force (and cost) on them. However they are not as fast as the swords we all know and love.

The Naginata from one of the Garapon machines have a decent melee that attacks things around you like the axes, but looks cooler and has more force. (I believe its speed is slightly faster and it has more range)

The Hyper Spinner has good range on it too.

If you somehow have a chainsaw you can just try it out.

I've never really attempted using Beam Blade (Beam Sword?) from the shop as a melee, but apparently the A.I wields it quite well when you do those gigan buster missions so you can try that out.

Never did like the Naginata, or any spear type for that matter. They're even more unwieldy than Jikun Long's LG; I overshoot past the enemy more than I do actual damage.
