Oboy its shiny....yea there's more to it than that. I mean Skyrim I think is a good example of what I want in a game. Even though i have to play it on low graphics, story was ok and the gameplay was very open depending on the player.

b..bbut guys! Graphics are important! The only thing graphics bring to the table is immersion and if you're looking for immersion in Cosmic break I've got some pretty bad news for you. Also

Does '96 count as old or new gen? I grew up with NES, PSX and GB. Fuckin love old games man. I didn't get another console until like... 2003, which was a Gamecube. Even today, I prefer playing my NES (which I need to do some fixes on... cartridge reader is meh.) and a newly adopted SNES.

Nah if you where raised with anything Nintendo then you where raised right.
NES: Castlevania, Megaman, Contra. etc
SNES: FZero, Megaman X, Double Dragon.
N64: Conkers bad fur day, Mario 64, Perfect Dark.
Gamecube: Metroid prime, Pikmin, Melee, etc

I was also born in 94, been part of the PC master race sense I could read.

I remember playing Zelda OoT / F-Zero X as a kid growing up, and then LoZ WW on the GC, along with SSBM and some Mario Party games.

They didn't have the best graphics, but they still were fun to play.

i can still hook up my old snes and have a tonne of fun playing yoshi's island and donkey kong country

I do understand the OP's point to a certain degree though. The optical sense is the most important for most video games and if you don't like the graphic you'll never be happy with it. If you still try to play it, it'll be like you were a vegetarian who orders a steak for it's sidedishes. On the other hand the prettiest graphics won't save you from poopy gameplay.

Game play is important. Story is important I don't see why graphics aren't important, considering the power that's available to developers in this day and age. But i guess it's wrong to expect something more since video games have come so far.

Born in 92, so i had fun playing classic games, and learned back then that graphics aren't everything, But that was back then.

These days i expect something a little more.

all of those (minus sanic, poopymon, and smugbros) had an NES/SNES release.

advisor beat me to the entitlement thing, but yeah stop being sounding so entitled, they probably try their hardest to do what they do and most good games these days don't look like shitty bloomy COD rooty tooty shootys they keep in the limits of what makes a game look good, being persistent with the games look and feel, cosmic break looks fine, its not a master piece but it works

On a side note: most MMOS have little to no story, except for some thin explaination why the mobs are there and why the players are meant to fight them. I've never found out the reason behind S4 League btw (the only thing I know aout it is that is supposed to be the "sport of the future" from some local TV ad).

S4 is fun but I just hated the hackers. Ever since they added katanas I got back into the game. I guess for some games if the gameplay is good then it makes the game good regardless.

I don't think you've ever seen a NES game, much less played one.

Comparing a 3d to an NES 8-bit game, no, you do not EVER do that.

Now if you'd ask me, CB has a good set of graphics, granted they are not the best, but you can live with it, it will not kill you in any way shape or form, and they are more PS1 era graphics, or N64 graphics, I should know, I've compared to the games I have for both a PS1 and N64, they are just a bit over PS1, but have the feeling of an N64.
