Ran out of mana spamming Bestial Sky'd spells in the 1st half of the fight, so I just kept on the defensive in the 2nd half and only struck when I knew his next moves. Also casted Defense Increase on Caster to make Lancer's pokes and stabs hurt less. Ignore the poison Li'l Ronnie inflicts you; it only does 32 damage. What you'll want to watch out for are Lancer's nuke(Ceremonial Purge, which do 300+ guarded damage) and his Noble Phantasm(Kazilkli Bey, which causes ~500 guarded damage + Sacrifice, which is basically 300+ poison damage for 1-2 turns, I forget).

Somehow, Lancer becomes much easier to deal with once of you figure that:
-Rebellious Intent(the self-buff he always starts the battle with) increases the damage he deals in a successful Guard.
-One of his turn patterns has him Guarding 6 times.

If said pattern comes up, Charm-Spirit Theft + Break spam all the way~
Just watch it when Li'l Ronnie seals your Break, but other than that, just Guard unless you know Lancer's next moves. Despite his tendency to Break every now and then, it's better than getting stabbed for 500+ damage just because he blocked. Of course, there's also Caster's Anti-Guard spell~

Watch out for his Noble Phantasm. When the warning comes up, expect it on his 6th move. It lives up to its name too, as it will kill you in one shot unless you Aphotic Cave.

As it turns out, it's not yet over. There a few things left to do before you go get the Holy Grail. Talking to Kotomine will let you grind in the arena for as long as you want; you can leave the arena and go at it again anytime you wish. The Arena is merely a giant field, containing Fortresses, Nephilim Deltas and those giant mobs whose names I forgot that slap you silly. (Also, if you arrive here again in your 2nd playthrough the game, there's someone waiting for you at the exit). The Chapel and the Commissary are of course still accessible, and Sakura has one final lunch left to give you. Rin(or Rani, I guess) will wait for you in front of the Supply room; talking to them leads to the Holy Grail.

Savior is disappointing, somewhat. His patterns are simple, but to make up for it, he hits hard, has a counter-skill that hits even harder and he likes to buff himself a lot(attack drains HP, guard drains MP, break causes stun). Twice also seals your Servant's Skills for one turn, so be wary of that. Oh and there's a time limit: he has 7 mirrors behind him. Every 2 turns, a bell tolls and one of the mirrors lights up. If all 7 mirrors are lit, Savior's Noble Phantasm activates and you instantly lose. You shouldn't worry about that, though, since I had him beat in 8 turns.
