but explain this to me - where did you get a 3s pair of accel saber legs? and why would you say you are totally pressed for capa when you just said that lazflame bd has tons of capa in the first place? LazFlamme has great capa growth, but the magnitude of weapons, you become short on capa. It's the amount of capa she has in the first place that makes this feat possible. Any sort of build would be pressed for capa with this many weapons, but Laz is able to pull so many off. 3s Accel Saber LGs can be gotten as a gold ball from UC gara. - Broken wrote:

| Hum. I wouldn't like strapping all that on Laz, but that's not a bad idea. Some of these parts actually combo well into each other. But Kit, you hafta show me this lol.
Is reaper scythe ignored because of its huge cost or something?

- "All this build":
So I've been working on a build idea long and hard and I finally feel comfortable with sharing it with the community. LazFlamme has a cheap core that gains a lot of capa. Naturally she's able to have a lot of free capa for customization. This is were I decided, with all that extra capa, I could make the best bot in terms of all LNDs. Now what's the first thing you think of when you think of LNDs? Melee of course. Out of all bots, I believe Laz has the greatest potential to be the best melee ever, even better then Vanguards because of this capa potential. - Quote :
- 100% + 50% Bonus x Number of melees = AMOUNT OF WIN.
So then, the idea of this build is to get as much melee as possible to combo off of, that way if you get the first hit on anything, you can surely kill it by the end of the combo. Here are good options for this build idea: - Hound AM - Ace Braver AM - Jikun Hu LG - Accel Saber LG - Wooden Sword - Kamui Staff - Squidol AM - Great Axe - Blank Staff - Metal Slayer - LazFlamme BS2 I find Squidol AM a really great starting combo melee even though it takes up the hand, it's swift and has decent force as well as is slow capa. I'd suggest this to anyone who has one, and I definitely advice anyone to try to roll for these AMs if Squidol ever makes it to weekly. Ace Braver AMs are great because you can combo and still have a hand open. Jikun Hu LGs do good damage and can be on the LG, but Long's aren't good for this build because of her flippy kick. Accel Sabers are good too, given the wheelie and I'd even say they're better then Hu's because it gives much better HP, which you'll need. Wooden Sword is a cheap and swift melee, and makes sure not to push your capa too high. Kamui staff is a great starter melee and Great Axe is a good end weapon. The health on Blank Staff makes it an incredibly viable option as well as it's cheap cost. Metal Slayer has some of the best force you can find on a 100 cost melee and is a great starter or ender. Thanks to Trill for the BS suggestion, LazFlamme BS would add another hit to the combo, though BS2 does multiple hits so it would make sense to use this one over regular BS if you have it, as well as it giving more str. Because you'll be incredibly pressed for capa, it's important to use things like Maid Headband and Chinese Headdress. Capa tunes would help greatly but are not necessary. The more capa you can get and use, the better really. There is another step to this build. That is to tune every melee weapon once with a different status effects. This includes, but is not limited to Shell Drain, Burn and Distort. Slow isn't necessary because you can just as easily use a Snail Bomb LGJ, saving you the capa and hand space for more weapons. For Carts you want all the capa. From there you want Bullet Guard, Sword Guard and Blast Guard. Alternatively, you can swap out one of those for Soul Eater, given the amount of people you'll be able to wreck. This will all help with your survivability given your low tgh this build will yield. There are a lot of other weapons but I found that this works best for me: If you start with the Squidol AM, you can combo into the Metal Slayer, then Accel wheelie and finish with a punch. I plan on putting Asura AMJs onto it for more comboing but for right now I don't have the RT to get them, but I'm thinking it will work out. I have a Snail Bomb so I have status effects down and I get to save resources on Slow Tunes so I can focus more on causing other status effects. With this build, your end result should look something like this: - Spoiler:

It may be pretty heavy on tuning, but the amount of work this build demands will pay off. I'm sure with ideas like these we can end the days of OP bots like Vanguards, Oukas and Ivis.
I would almost certainly get rid of Shell Guard. 10%, no matter your pathetic TGH or your actually decent sized hitbox, won't really help a bit. I would get a mobility cart in its place(if necessary, lower cost than SG so you can tune more and get more win). Short Boost would probably be a preferred mobility cart here over Boost Run because you NEED that evasive ability to live long enough to do some damage without getting buttraped by everything. This build, despite it's appearances(and Kitou's advice against SO MUCH MELEE)...actually looks decent. The Ace Braver AMs combo well into the other weapons. The Metal Slayer scares me a bit due to its poor speed and high delay when attacking, I would definitely look for a replacement if possible. I don't have experience with Squidol AM or Blank Staff, so no comments there. Snail Bomb LGJ is cool for inflicting Slow, but has extremely shitty speed, poor rangejust looked at CosmiCalc, range 300 speed 200 is decent, but the speed is still shitty for the metagame, and poor ammo capacity(although if you plan on dying eventually, ammo is no problem). If possible, I'd stack a Slow tune on one of your melee weps. Also note that Snail Bomb LGJ is...sub weapon, iirc. I don't know how you're going to fire the bomb at your target unless it can be part of your melee combo. Be wary of that INT...I don't know much about Snail Bomb LGJ, but that 500 INT spells trouble if you can spam right click and throw bombs everywhere(this could be a blessing in disguise...if you're accurate with your bombs, you can slow everything and everyone in the area, then your teammates can ride in and finish the job...if only CBen had teamwork, this would be a sweet combo lol), especially with your shitty 25 bomb capacity. The sheer number of status inflicters basically ensures that, if you don't kill the target, it'll at least be maimed physically or afflicted by status. Cool beans. Your pathetic TGH, low WLK, and low FLY, combined with your fairly good-sized hitbox and red-flag raising array of melee weps, make you a very high-profile target(Think walking in a forest filled with trained snipers. Then think you building a bonfire, making the loudest noises possible, and setting up working stage lights all shining on your exact position. And just for laughs, putting up a big flashing neon sign that points directly at you that says "Kitouski is here!"). Your lack of mobility is this build's greatest problem. If you don't plan on sacrificing for some mobility tuning, at the very least get Short Boost. I wouldn't go for Boost Run here as it will still be slow enough that most good players can sight and kill you easily(14 11 isn't that fast, iirc, I don't have the chart in front so I can't figure it out). Other than all that...this build is workable, and lethal in the right hands. It's easy to kill from afar, but once a bot is in the grip of its melee, it's difficult to come out alive. And even if one does escape alive, it will be, at the very least, maimed or status afflicted. Very nice.

| Lazflamme LG launches upwards like a Fire Pillar when you kick, LG2 is 3 kicks on a rising diagonal. Most of the time, you'll only hit with the first and last of the 3 kicks on LG2. The second kick tends to go off when the target is still in the air above the kick. The 3rd kick also has nice horizontal knockback. If you're using it mid-combo, make sure to account for the displacement. | |

EDIT: nvm
Double EDIT: Why lance bit? That's a missed opportunity right there. It could be dual slayer or axe bit, which you'll have all time because there won't be a second you're not ripping someone a new one.

| I actually like Squidol AM, it has a fairly quick 3 hit combo that combos to other weapons well and is just funny cause your totally tenticle raping moe's. Also Laz kick doesn't combo with most weapon attacks unless they fixed that. You can try to set it up so your first attack is by the E switch to kick and go that way but otherwise yea FTL. Playing around with all the melees everyone ignores I found a bunch of things that combo oddly. Though really for the poor people that can't understand this is not what you do. Melee typically should be a max of two weapons(there are rare instances where the moves do very specific helpful things) and your second weapon should be something cheap(cause most only get one hit at the end of the combo). I saw someone dual welding Kamui Staff and laughed my butt off. Still trying to find it if someone spots one. I know, giving honest advice on troll thread is silly but there it is. | |
