Their effective range really isn't that much different though, is it?

I find alba HD worse to deal with personally.

There's already plenty of alba hd dugdriver, gun arms, and build arm hoppers in EN. Have been for at least three weeks now.

You can sit at 240 range and still be effective with AG. I don't know if alba HD is that good at that range.

Plenty of parts but it's a lot of tuning. More bots are easier to tune than these. Effective though.

Like intet said, it takes a lot of tuning to make the build effective. You want three force tunes on the head, a large amount of fly (20+, preferably 25+) and tec (30+), and preferably accele roll to make a solid alba hd hopper. Most people would rather have an easymode free win bot like ah-chan that takes zero thought or effort and still gives you free gamewarrior.

And after that, the bot has limited ammo.

It's unpleasant fighting them, at least with airs, unless you've gotten to a good position and they can't really get into an ideal spot to shoot at you. Anything that can trade up in damage in slug-fest beats them, and since they're ART type, the classic surprise melee is still fine. As always, splash weapons are nice against them cause you'll have room for error if you miss, and the fact that you can deal damage past the shield by landing grazing hits.
