Item: Active Barrier

Basically an omni-directional shield that can take 100 HP of bullet and melee damage before shattering, or expires after 1 minute. It moves with the player, giving him/her tempoary protection. However, the entire barrier can be hit, so use with caution against multiple enemies. Using another barrier will destroy the older one: this prevents using multiple shields at once to increase durability. Arena only.

Oh and yeah, what mogimus said: we already have this in form of te merciful Amot Vainic, performed by the ever so sacred Priestress of the Cows St. Russia.
