building her for fun, but I'd like a few tips that will improve my build before I actually start working on her

in my opinion, thorla is wayy too big to hop properly. She'll get hit more often than a hopper should, which kinda defeats the purpose of hopping. Just my opinion though.

Wlk and fly both affect shortboost iirc. Tune to fly instead, and drop sword guard.

Hop on fatair is for defensive purposes and works beautifully with SDC (and to a lesser degree, Thoarla AM3). Unlike, say, AccelSaber/other land hoppers, you are not suppose to hop through an entire team with them, it's simply for you to cheese from your weapon's max range whilst easily evading oncoming missiles and such.

Anyhow.

@OP:

WHY OH WHY is that thing WLK based? You do know that hop can work perfectly fine off FLY. right?

Rip those disgusting arms off, give her Air Raider AM, if you don't have that, use AccelSaber AM.

Rip that BS off, give her Amateus BS, or better Tengu/Kotengu BS.

Rip that Dayu Hair Ornament off, give her EVE Ornament or Delvin Propeller.

As a fatair, Slayer bit isn't exactly the most useful thing to have, consider sticking to default WB and dropping your STR to 0 for the sake of easier TEC/FLY tune.

Once you've gone FLY based, drop Sword Guard, you should never be hit silly melees (aside from Slayer bits on more mobile air), Quick Jump is also another piece of luxury you can do without (for ranged hopping, you are better off without Quick Jump). Get Beam Guard and Quick Boost rather.

Hopping airs are a more worse idea than mb airs
If you still want to go through with it tune the hell out of fly
