1)C, as many as can fit within cost limits
2)Depends. If you're going for Boost Run, I would try for green/yellow/orange color speed tiers(going off the Boost Run speed chart. Therefore, assuming you're gonna either tank or run 1 FLY...
Green tier-28 WLK minimum w/1 FLY. 39 WLK if FLY is tanked.
Yellow tier-32 WLK minimum w/1 FLY. Cannot reach if FLY is tanked.
Orange tier-38 WLK minimum w/1 FLY. Cannot reach if FLY is tanked.
If you go for red, you need either 33 WLK + 17 FLY or 40 WLK + 8 FLY minimum.
3)Enough to beat the shit out of your target, i.e. at least 20-25. More is preferable.
4)Sky's loadout is good. In lieu of that get Steel Rider's Bazooka.
5)6x Cost Capa UP, Blast Guard, Boost Run(I'm not too keen on Short Boost because it'll eat your gauge if you don't have Quick Land/Quick Boost), Tough Runner, Stun Regain/Quick Boost(preferred), for a Boost Run-oriented melee rush build.
Short Boost build: 6x Cost Capa UP, Blast Guard, Short Boost, Quick Boost, Stun Regain/Broad Radar(not so keen on this due to high motherfucker cost).
6)Do your normal tunes. TGH, WLK, STR, anything else, in that order of priority. You can swap WLK for TGH if you so wish due to the presence of armor. If you tend to use Armor Purge a lot, either because you wanna stare at Mai-chan's body or because you need the 2nd pilebunker, I'd keep the normal tuning order.
7)No. Actually, Crimson Veil seems to work nicely on Byne Girl, allowing you to deal massive damage and retreat instead of being stunlocked and annihilated. Be wary when attacking large enemy ART groups as you can still be killed by massive damage to Mai-chan(they'll also blow through her armor fairly quickly, so it won't help much unless you're good at evading Artillery strikes, are good with hopping, or have a high Boost Run speed). Remember CVeil doesn't make you invincible and it will prove a benefit rather than a hinderance.
8)Besides sneaking around to the enemy's back lines? Not really. Just don't go suicide rushing. That's Vanguard's job.
9)Evade the Alphags and strike once you can close the distance(if they have a height advantage i.e. they're on a high ledge, don't engage, just run). High Boost Run speed(yellow or better) will assist you in evading enemy Airs, and Mai-chan's smaller hitbox also is to her advantage. Don't get caught by an Air Alphag or you'll end up taking massive damage. Dash(or walk quickly, but you risk getting hit) to one side once they start alphastriking, jump into the air(with Boost Run, you should have at least half your gauge, and hopefully more), and target them for pilebunkering. Short Boost makes this easier because you can just hop to one side and attack. Your CVeil will also help you by allowing you to avoid being stunlocked by Alphags.
10)Mai-chan is still sexier. Nuff said.
