Cyclotes-need some advice.

I rolled a Cyclotes from the Royal Gara and immediately junk'd him.

I recently brought him back, and I've been having some moderate success with him. Are there any decent builds for him out there?
Also, I was thinking of stripping Manly Byne and slapping his parts on Cyclotes to give him armor. Is this a good idea?

I don't think Tough Runner is actually useful. I could be wrong, but eh...

Drop the gun, give him a shield of any kind.

I'd flip parts around to get 21 TGH and some more WLK if you can, but I don't have the motivation to pull up calculator at the moment, sorry.
21 TGH because I heard it's a breakpoint, so might as well be safe since some of Cyc's parts lower TGH, shouldn't be hard to bring it up.

I'm not sure if you want to keep his slapping AM. It's great, but there's quite a long delay (longer than Squealer punch) and it's not like you can lock someone in with it. If you do, I want to recommend Squealer AM so you can zoom into people faster, but... ehh...

I think you can do better than Cyc AM on his BD.

He's got a godly core with the most base wlk out of any L land, make use of that, also, besides his massive arms and legs, I think his core is decently small. You could probably do something like a Jham or Dae AM2 build with his core. But get rid of those massive hitbox legs.

Treat him like a Daedalian with more mobility and less tgh, and build from there.

Can you elaborate? I don't know how to build a Daedalian or how to use one. So far, I've basically used this for melee rush attacking and a little ranged drive-by'ing, since I gave him Boost Run.

-Should I keep 1 TEC if desired for WB use, or just tank it completely?
-Can a War Hammer sub for JHam if I can't get a JHam? If this is possible, are there any changes to how I use Cyclotes in order to make WHam effective?
-I already have something like 23~29 WLK and 7 FLY. Should I continue tuning WLK or should I try to improve both to increase my Boost Run speed?

alternatively,you can strap on 2 squealer arms for a easily acessible NSR build (no skill required)

Looked up my Cyclotes' stats. 27 WLK, 9 FLY. Personally, I'd actually go for High Speeder tuning for this guy, especially since Cyclotes has pretty good starting capacity(his capa UP carts suck though, only adding +40 capa and 7 HP).

Here's a potential melee rush build I'm considering. It does involve a lot of tuning, but I think the reward might be worth the effort.
Unfortunately, I can't use Cyclotes AM for this, but Red Squealer AM replaces it. Otherwise, stock Cyclotes.
Viper Shield conceals Red Squealer AM's Impact Punch attack until it's too late for the target to evade the attack. High TGH + Tough Runner almost negates the chance of my being stunned while Boost Run is active.

EDIT: Also, a mobility-minded Cyclotes. 35 WLK, 14 FLY puts me in the 2nd fastest Boost Run speed tier, which makes me kind of serious about this build. Tunes can be spread out to maximize chance of success. 22 TGH, 5 TEC, and 24 STR give Cyclotes some balance. Viper Shield can be replaced with a ranged weapon if I so desire. Lower TGH increases my chance of stun, but high Boost Run speed will allow me to close the distance quickly.

In both builds, the shield can be replaced with a ranged weapon, allowing Cyclotes some flexibility. 5 TEC doesn't hurt ranged damage overly, and also allows me longer use of my Dual Slayer Bit, adding to my melee damage.

EDIT2: On the mobility build, Red Squealer AM can replace Cyclotes AM(gives me 75 cost to tune more STR, TGH, and one High Speeder for buffer) and/or Cyclotes AM2(replacing both gives me 40 cost, so I probably won't replace both). I will probably replace the Cyclotes AM and increase TGH(two tunes to negate High Speeder while still keeping me in red Boost Run tier, bringing me to 26 TGH) and STR(most of my remaining cost, 20 cost remaining, so likely two High Power Alphas to conserve my mobility, bringing my STR to 28 and TEC to 3, which still isn't bad).
