| Hi all. :>
Lately I've been seing quite a lot of using float dash or short boost on their AIRs.
Now, why would one do that? >:
I got float dash on one of my AIRs but I don't think it's that usefull to be honest, I only use it occasionally when I fall down for some reason and float dashing is faster to get away, still, I don't think it's worth getting. ; - ;
Also, a lot of people have been talking about hopping AIRs, mostly Stardustcanon hoppers I think, is hopping really that much better when you can just fly over the enemy's head for 10 seconds? D:

Not everyone can be awesome like you and never get grounded :V That aside, it works well with Brickgale/Tengu BS and Vanish Jump (especially with quick land), Float Dash out of the line of fire, hi-jump up. This comes in particularly handy in random 1v1 dogfights. If you not going with any of those instant max altitude BS, Quick Jump + Short Boost does the job fine, and you can obvious stay grounded and hop it like boss if you so desire. It's not necessarily "better" than simply flying overhead, it's just another effective playstyle people choose to work with. - UncleBobbie wrote:

| Float dash on airs=never have to walk again. You might have to stand for a few seconds, but other than that you'll never use it again. Also, do you know how useful it is to fly so low to the ground? It mixes up your air game so much more, making it much more unpredictable as to where, and how fast you'll go. That and AA missiles have better tracking while you're in midair, so if you never see stuff like that, you can try to hit the ground and let the missiles hit ground around you.
Short boost feels like a fun kinda thing to do. Vyo tends to play a lot of hoppers anyway, and a Crim hopper shouldn't be a surprise either. Antihoming on her makes her frustrating to hit with subweapons, and a smart one knows how to mix up their hopping distance so that the blast weakness becomes not as big a deal. The key thing about short boosting airs is that because their distance can be so effing long, they have the means to be able to dodge a melee attack, unlike regular land hoppers by which yknow. You're screwed.
I remember a clannie of mine had a Crim hopper much earlier on with that slice gun. And it was nuts. He said though it was harder to aim with, but had a great pay off when it did. So don't think it's all, omg hopping. N0 sk1llz.

| not just long jump... but also high jump (Quick Jump Catridge) and jump endurance (Quick Boost Catridge)... add quick land catridge for quicker jump reaction...
but well... even that... im fail learn being a jumper... i guess frontlines really isnt my place...

| The point of using either short boost or float dash is to eliminate the threat of landing; even if you touch the ground, you're still mobile and able to dodge. Both get that much better with quick boost and quick land.
I've got a vid lying around somewhere of an aquila girl hopper in JP. I'll post it if I find it.
