Short boost

I am really having a problem figuring out which stat has a bigger impact for when you do a "long" hop. I am wondering because during the short boost, most especially the long hop. We are airborne for a short bit, and FLY affects our speed of travel when airborne.

I did 2 separate experiments. 1 hopper has 24 wlk and 10 fly. Another hopper (same type of bot) has 10 wlk 24 fly. I compared the two, as well as I asked people in game which one seems faster. Everyone said they look the same and can't tell a difference between the two. Yes, I have both short boost and quick land.

That's where I am puzzled at the moment. Would anyone be able to help? Are there any experienced hoppers that can shed some insight on this? Have you also tested one version with high FLY vs high WLK? I did and people in game can't tell the difference.

Tip: don't use short boost excessively as it ruins it effectiveness.
