[Tutorial] How to Connect to game (Patch cannot connect to Server)

I would like to explain u clearly how to get ur launcher connected to the server.
In 15 Steps u are Able to play the Game!

-> Fame + if this was helpfull!

First of all:
Main Credits goes to "delta7890"
Tutorial Credits goes to "Shinkai"
Vista Credits goes to "Captain"
Programm Credits goes to "GreyFalcon"
Other Credits: "Genocider"

TESTED ONLY ON WINDOWS XP 2000

What if I'm running Vista 32bit? I'm getting that error; '' Impossible to create the file C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\Hosts. Check if the name and path are corrects. '' . . . I don't get it, What am I doing wrong? I have vista, it's not the same as you.. I don't have the '' Edit with Notepad' '' Button either :/

You don't need to make a tutorial... and... what about the OTHER errors?

u can click "Open with" the choose the programs and pick notepad

When attempting to enter the ip in command prompt I get the following:
211.43.152.155 is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

And I receive the same error as the person above when attempting to save the hosts file.

I originally just tried to modify the hosts file. Either way I get errors spit at me.

im having this issue just reciently, however none of this is working, the cmd thingie it says

*211.43.152.155 is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.*

then wen i go to host file to atempt to modify i get this too

i tried this with MFC WORDPAD
hope somenone can help me =(

*edit,* got myself notepad, but i got this

*please check weather if this file is opened in another pogram

For people having problems using CMD try running it as admin.
I got to can not make file thing as well then I ran it as admin.. Problem fixed.

actually ,. i always run as admin ( im on my personal computer so, nobody else than me uses it )

ether way, the issue is fixed with the step regarding with file modify,

i guess cmd isn nesesary

That helped, i had to skip the cmd step but it went all ok

Yes, i did. But i realized i wasn't putting echo in cmd, then that fixed it, thanks everyone for the tutorials Smile

did u put echo in the cmd like this? : echo 211.43.152.155 patch.cosmicbreak.com

and what windows u usin?

For example me:

Wndows XP 2000, Service Pack 4
