you completely against capa tuning or is the wording just a little bit off? kinda made it sound like a "do it if you can" rather than consider IF you wanna fit something cool or fun you wouldn't be able to otherwise.

don't capa tune only to fit more hp

though i admit i've been capa tuning often, maybe going overboard, but i won't stop!

I mean, some ppl just slap 3x g.capa on their builds while they aren't even
close of doing efficient use of all that capa.

Well, you won't need 3x g.capa on anything anyway.

I just use capa tunes when:

1- Trying to fit multiple things that you usually won't see together
on the same build.

2- The unit requires heavy weapon tuning.

3- When doing revenge tunes (I almost never do it).

In general if you're able to do it, it's far better to do it than not to.

Hell, you couldn't get any tunes on Jace whatsoever without capa tuning.

As long as I can fit ±550 HP, max stats and all necessary weapon tunes onto a single bot, then why not? The cheaper the bot, the less scores lost assuming I die.
It's just some bots (like Lilu) are too tight to tune without any capa tunes whatsoever.
Only proper exception I've done so far is on Thoarla because I just have to give her 1K HP for the lulz.

Literally gimping your builds using the argument that you're going to cost less when you die is retarded.

1capa is a sweet spot because of 2x Revenge tunes, for me anyway.

I try to build whatever I can within 1Gcapa.

with proper tuning a lot of my builds had everything they needed. Once you have your desired mobility and damage stats and weapon tunes, tuning capa basically only gives you more HP which you usually won't need since most builds with 10 ex tunes will already have 650+ hp or however much you want and all you'd be able to do is tune more HP/TGH onto your shit(or tune retarded weapon tunes like 3x hshooter which is fucking dogshit tunes lmao)

capa tuning should be done to allow yourself to get "Desired stats."
doing it when you already have them isn't really useful to do. 3x gcapa has been historically dogshit. I have some builds with 1 or 2 hcapa tunes but there's plenty of things that don't need tons of extra capacity.

Doing it just because you can makes you bloated for no reason.

There are too many things to consider when it comes to "desired" HP. usually, S size bot hit around 500 HP, M size 550 HP and L size 600 HP after full ex tunes. There usually is a +/- 30 HP depending what ex tunes you do. Then, depending on the intended use of the build and the drive, adding more HP to it may or may not matter.
There were only 2 things I had to X3 G capa. one is something because it only had 560 HP after all necessary tunes, it can't use armor drive because of high ammo consumption. other one was because it had to fit 2 blast missiles with weapon tunes.

There's not "too many things" to consider when finding desired hp because desired hp will be different for every unit and every person because personal goals will differ. This is why I typed "desired stats" and not a specific number because it varies a lot.

my point still boils down to you should do it only if you need it and not just because you can.

oh and, the less "returning players" understand the game in its current state, the sooner they'll get fed up and bugger off to do better things with their lives.

I literally only play quests and hoard shit at this point tbh. arena is just a grindfest, nobody actually plays it for fun anymore.

Most ppl seems to have a tendence to overtune their weapons, ending with not enough
capa for stats, or very low hp and some ppl does even with 2x or 3x g.capa somehow.

It is; some bots can get away with lower HP pools, but more often than not you'd want to break at least past 500.

Just finished reading this thread. There's some really serious battered wife flimflam circulating among the playerbase. Seek help.

Stopped playing when I was using some land melee around the time the vermillion nigger was released, thinking they couldn't be so retarded and also make him resistant or inmune to melee like he was against projectiles. You can guess how that went. It was time to think about the future and realize that if they got away with that then they might as well put cheat codes behind a paywall, because the eunuchs will really pay, or worse, do offer fraud to get them and use them with abandon.

You know shit is bad when the arena token campaigns are actually more discouraging and jarring than garbage like arcantus, bastagant or misssions.

The Returning Player Guide - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Returning Player Guide   The Returning Player Guide - Page 3 EmptyMon Dec 18, 2017 2:26 am

Just noting, Nina's 'melee' attacks cannot get through beam cancellers. As much as how odd it goes, she cannot do much aside from bind attack and hoping there's no antibeam on the way especially ones from Sturbanger AMJ which has 2s beam canceller duration upon blast.

Some possible addition to meta stuffs from my review...

Cyan : There some variants you may see on common, either Trident Module builds or a regular alpha art. The former has barrier subdashes which is hard to catch up due low cooldown while the latter uses overpowered alpha art parts like Hygerkun BS and Anko AM2's D.N.G. Cannon. Anyways, what's dangerous is that longrange+hypershot. Like, that thing usually overwrites each other but not on this case and also, that wb regenerates by itself. If you see a bot with blue aura, that's her. Run away if you're a air anyways.

Kyouka : That 26 damage melee is a disguise, her damage grows with how many attacks landed and with max buff, she deals 1.3x damage with any of her kits (1.2x after 7 hits and maxed at 15hits, WB grants max buff and gladiator). What's annoying is that she's so hard to avoid due to speedup+60%guard and warp step with ridiculous attack follow-ups. Oh, not enough warping? On every melee attack she can, and will be(for most players)'stepping sideways' very often because if she did that, that's 2 melee attacks at once. Yes, this is what makes her ridiculously powerful. That remote lightning is fine but hurts and counts as 3 hits for her buff marks.

Ciel : I'm lagging! Damn it, Ciel! Stop chipping the 4th wall off! We're lagging because of you!
Well, she's fine in any way. Both variants have similarities though the most annoying part is her finisher-- a lag-inducing attack. Yes, it literally lags your game. Oh, her WB grants speedup and her full boost drive lets her run all the time with 60% guard. Just keep moving sideways and avoid those Winch shots.

Koharu:  More like annoying.
What she does is slashing you apart from midrange, then tackle you to confuse you even further and goes all over everywhere. Oh, you think she's vunerable by long-range guns and she headed straight at you? Well, sorry to say she has guard mwp which returns all shots fired into special projectiles inflicting late clock. (If you forgot, late clock is reverse of hypershot).

Saber Elisalotte IF : what IF she is a AIR type?
Flies everywhere with guard+propeller+mini reignition, barrel roll spamming, and then releasing huge beamshot out from nowhere to get your feet off the ground before cutting you apart. A note that her melee is confirmed 100% beam.

Oddete : Ever thought someone that hard counters WB users? Introducing anti melee--the parryshots.
Aside from locking your wb all the time, if you're a melee that parry shot saps 50% of your wb gauge if you hit it with melee attack. Oh, also she's literally a long-ranged air. If she dives in that's probably the time to disperse or say goodbye into all your WB gauge. Also a hard counter to Bapho.

Flarereon : She's a bit underrated, but has some nasty trick and mobility. Ever thought of Blazed Baron girl? She's basically that.
Aside from parry mwp, she can mark people and dive at them to inflict burn to both target and herself. Of course a burning runner lnd is scary fast, so don't bother running away. Just one note : don't fight her on her show field. She gains ridiculous resistance and that field inflicts some sort of melt damage. A note that her WB heals herself by 50 upon activation and has fixed duration.

Digalius : The long-missing earth-element magick AXIS.
There's two main archetypes of Digalius, Rammer or Pile. Rammer type usually dives on whole team to be the center of a sandstorm, while Pile literally bullies people with Axion AM to boost its reach. Anyways, he has 60% guard buff and high str/tgh stats, also hits hard. Rammer's finisher, MWP and WB inflicts Stone Fall that fks up anything that flies.

Raphilim : Rival of Breastia. Also first ever angel girl released into game while there's already 3 demon girls(litia, beri, bapho).
Aside from sending you servants that annoys people with chip damage, these servants don't stay long and can get locked on, meaning you can get fked up subweapon lockon into these things. Oh, also that servant calling can be finished with literally huge beam shot so if you see giant magic circle in front of her just get the heck out into cover if you think the lockon's on you. If you're a ART and want to shoot her down, just hope you don't get hit by that reverse barrier cause you can't do shit with that. Also, that main weapon does serious damage. Adding that, she can heal herself and teammates with personal WB, or use it for offensive attack.

Guess I'll add Laika. Or else Veriti's gonna get triggered.
Laika : *spams russian insults*
Aside from being a lnd gunner that suffers severely on the meta, she's still viable and can really wreck things up if you're not careful. Remember those big-ass gatling that needs charging up? Now we introduce a small one with much higher force and no charging up too! Also comes with skullroid's skull that somehow knocks people airborne to be a literal food for those dogloids. They don't really matter much but is annoying for lockon distraction mostly.

I guess Laika also deserves a mention, like man, when 12 force gatlings were
still strong, we got her with that 18 force gatling that can shit on enemies non stop,
also high mobility with dashes and her dogs are fucking annoying. Oh yes, and due to
how gatlings works, gun drive is specially strong on her.
