| I wanted to tell you all about an awesome new anime that I have watched recently. My one friend recommended it to me, and so far I like it, though I've only watched a few episodes so far. It's called Arpeggio of Blue Steel (or Aoki Hagane No Arpeggio). It's an anime with a whole lot of Cuteness and Moe' and Cuddliness, and it's got great Action and Battles too from what I've seen too! Also, some may say that it's a WWII meets the Future series. I disagree, I think it's the opposite of that. It's still good though. The series takes place in the future around the year 2050, where global warming has caused many of the world's nations to sink beneath the sea, and the continents are much smaller than before. When humanity comes under attack by a strange new adversary called " The Fleet of Fog." The Fleet of Fog is an army of WWII Dreadnaughts and U-Boats that have been enhanced with advanced AI systems and have been equipped with an arsenal of state-of-the-art futuristic weaponry. At first, they were only seen occasionally on foggy nights at sea, and were thought to be some sort of Ghost Ships, which is where they get their names from. Then, later on, the Fleet appeared in greater numbers, and became very hostile. However, the Fleet of Fog, although powerful, do not seem to be too aggressive overall. In fact, they leave alone those who are on land. Instead, the Fleet created a massive blockade all across the seven seas, blocking all from traveling between nations and preventing anyone from getting in or out of their home continent. Those who tried to get past the Fleet of Fog's patrols, above water, underwater, or by air, have all met their doom by these Unmanned Warship's Heavy Buster Cannons and Spatial Distortion Weaponry. Their motives and purpose remains unknown, but they were still a force to be reckoned with. Later on, the Fleet of Fog ships managed to enhance themselves even more. They developed "Mental Models" which are humanlike manifestations of the various Fleet of Fog Ships's Cyber Consciousness, which all resemble cute and cuddly and snuggly girls. The Mental Models are all shown to reflect the personality of each ship's central AI, and they are used to develop self-cultivation and overcome the ship's lack of human tactical thinking that they could not replicate until now. All of them are female, due to them hearing the old expression of calling ships as a "she" or "her," and the ship's AI systems took that expression literally. With all nations unable to travel between, gain imports or exports, or anything else, the world soon fell into even more disarray. That is, until a Japanese group found a means to fight against this virtually invincible threat. A small Japanese Military group called " The Blue Steel" manages to successfully capture a Fleet of Fog submarine called the "I-401," or "Iona," as her adorable Mental Model refers to herself as. Although the Blue Steel were unable to reverse engineer the technology used to enhance the WWII vessels into Fleet of Fog ships, or find out who or what created them in the first place, the did manage to get her on their side, so that she now works for them. A captain named "Gunzou" is then assigned to commandeer the I-401 and keep an eye on Iona too. With Gunzou's tactical military knowledge and I-401's advanced weaponry, they manage to be the first to get past the Fleet of Fog's blockade multiple times, as well as manage to take down some of their strongest warships too. Learning about their success, the Japanese Government assigns them to a new task. Their researchers have now managed to develop a prototype super-weapon that may be humanity's best bet to take on the Fleet of Fog at full force. However, they lack the resources to mass produce this super-weapon, and only the U.S. has that kind of resources, but the U.S. has been unreachable at this time. They assign The Blue Steel to go on a mission to deliver the super weapon to the U.S. and help them stop The Fleet of Fog. The episodes have the Blue Steel facing in various Boss Fights against powerful Fleet of Fog warships, interacting with other allies and soldiers, trying to learn more about their enemy, and plenty more. The Boss Fights so far are just way too cool, and there's just so much cuteness too! Those Mental Models are such big fluffy sweeties! <3 The series has a total of 12 episodes, and two movies for it are coming out soon too. Man, I wish some good cuteness + action anime series would have more episodes already. Too many of them only have 12 episodes. What happened to the days when anime series would have over 100+ episodes (points to One-Piece and DBZ)? I absolutely love this anime now! It's now My 4th favorite on my top 5 Anime List! Such a great series, would totally recommend!

| One of my favorite scenes was the Boss Fight of Iona vs Haruna and Kirishima. They actually merged together the ships, it was so awesome! The fight was really intense and cool too!
I also loved that scene where Makie keeps taking off Haruna's coat, and she acts all weakened and powerless when it's off, then when she puts it back on she stands up and goes "SHAZAM!"

| Too bad the anime didn't show any other human ship involvement during battle vs Haruna-Kirishima, and some other battles were removed as well
Still, Ars Nova's birth is the best moment in the anime | |

| Also, a scene that I wanted to share from the anime, to make a point. THIS IS TRULY WHAT YURI IS! LOOK AT ALL THAT HYUUGA IS DOING TO HER! " Oh Iona-Chan. Ever since you slammed your Torpedos into me." All those other anime shows you keep saying the characters are gay, let me ask you this. Did they ever do stuff like Hyuuga was doing to Iona there, or anything else along those lines (like kissing, or wanking off at them)? If no, THEN THEY AREN'T YURI!!! I wish people would understand this.

| Okay guys, sorry to double post. I wanted to post something relevant to this, and should be in a separate post.
I'm working on some Arpeggio of Blue Steel Fan-characters, for an RP I was going to get involved in. They will be both good and bad ones. I was wondering if anyone here wants to hear about them? They are going to be super cute, very tough (but not overpowered), and have stuff about them that takes clever twists on some of the specifics of the series. I also picked some really awesome ships to base them off of too.
Anyone interesting in hearing about them, and maybe assisting me to make them better, or anything like that? I'd love to share what I have with you guys.
I heard Princess Nana here might be interested. |

Well since you asked, I will. I bet you'll find that they are "The Goods." I have 5 of them, but those ships are so hard to draw for me (although their Mental Models are easier), so it will probably take a while. Two of mine are Evil and on the Fleet of Fog, two of them have betrayed the Admirality Code and will have human captains, and one is not a Fleet of Fog ship, but rather a unique one of those "Design Children" that Makie was part of. I'll post what I have for each in a separate spoiler tag. Look over each of them and tell me what you think. Super Destroyer, Shimakaze (Ex-Fleet of Fog- Spoiler:
Shimakaze is a specialized Fleet of Fog warship designed for both offense and speed. Originally she was a Japanese Prototype Destroyer along the Minekaze-class, before being converted into a Fleet of Fog vessel. Shimakaze was upgraded for both general purpose combat, Anti-Air weapons, and some means of underwater offense too, but however lacked very powerful Wave-Force Armor.
She also has a Mental Model too. I was thinking of her Mental Model looking similar to Yuuka from CB.
Mainly my idea for her came from how Shimakaze and Amatsukaze are the most popular Kantai Collection girls, but they don't have Ars Nova counterparts (unlike many others). I thought they deserved ones though.
Shimakaze can act rather hyperactive and energetic, especially in combat. She isn't playful like Maya though, but gets rather cocky when fighting. She can still be serious when she has to though. I was also thinking of her using foul language a lot, which she picked up from the saying "curses like a Sailor" and she felt that's how Sailors are supposed to talk (like the reasons why the Mental Models are all girls because of the expression of calling a warship a "She").
A while not too long after, Shimakaze was demoted by Kongou and Iona's sisters from Super Destroyer to being a Patrol Ship. She felt underappreciated after this, even though she was more than capable.
She then learned about how some Fleet of Fog warships had sided with the humans, such as Iona, Hyuuga, and Takao. Knowing this, she set out to find her own captain, and told her past friends that "They could Take That Damned Admirality Code and shove it up their rudders!"
She then met up with another military group (not sure which one yet though, maybe you could help me decide). At first they thought of her as a threat, although Shimakaze didn't shoot at them even when they did, and merely went in with her Klein Field up. She explained to them (with her Mental Model), that she wishes to side with them now. It took some hard convincing, but they then saw that she was like Iona in ways, and that perhaps not all Fleet Of Fog ships are hostile. From that point on, she was then a part of their army, and feels good that she's now with someone who actually appreciates her, even though they can be rather strict.
Also after joining with this human crew, they "install" a large Nuclear Reactor on her, to give her more power for her weapons, which she was lacking. The reactor was salvaged from one of the wrecked "Hakugei" experimental Military Submarines, and is stuck on her "back." This makes her weapons have stronger power output, but has the downside of giving her a large and easily seen Weak Point.
Shimakaze's weapons consist as follows. Her's are unique compared to most Fleet Of Fog warships.
Her main weakness though is that her Klein Field is weaker than most others. She'd only be able to survive about 7 hits from Corrosive Torpedos (normal ships like Hyuuga could withstand 12). Also, she lacks a Super Gravity Cannon of her own, also a problem.
-Repeating Laser Cannons: Laser Cannons much like the ones many other Fleet Of Fog ships have. However, her's don't fire strong shots at a slow rate, but rather smaller shots at a fast rate of fire, like a Machine Gun. She uses them with skill, especially being hyperactive. They have been effective at both normal ships, and flying foes.
-Anti-Air Missile Pods: A unique weapon for Shimakaze, designed to deal with enemy Aircraft. Specialized Missile Launchers that fire missiles that act like aerial Corrosive Torpedos (equipped with the same warhead). As you might expect, can damage flying airships hard.
-Anti-Torpedo Capsules: Another unique equipment of her's, and a precaution to deal with her weaker Klein Field. These capsules are launched from her bottom and flash. In a sense, the Anti-Torpedo Capsules work like Underwater versions of Anti-Missile flares. Once launched, the seeking capabilities direct towards the capsules instead of her, go off course, and explode safely away from her.
-Anti-Missile flares: Another precaution used to help avoid enemy fire. She has a number of Flare Pods on her to launch and divert away enemy missiles.
-Torpedo Containers. Designed to deal with above water and underwater threats. She has a number of them on her belly, and can fire them in large volleys. She can fire normal or Corrosive Torpedos too.
Because of her amount of devices used to divert away homing weapons, it's best to use aimed or manually guided weapons on her, but she attacks fast. Also, her weak shields are another thing that can be taken into account.
Destroyer, Amatsukaze (Ex-Fleet of Fog)- Spoiler:
Shimakaze's sister, and another ship who betrays the Fleet of Fog, becoming also like Shimakaze's "sidekick" in a way.
Amatsukaze is a Fleet of Fog Destroyer who had previously been in a fight with Iona. She lost badly, but however, wasn't sunk. Sometime after Shimakaze gains her "Crew" and also teams up with Luto, during one part she'd find Amatsukaze stranded out in the middle of the ocean, with her propulsion systems blown out (from her battle with Iona), but still mostly functional yet immobile.
Her new captain would first think of finishing off this enemy who is now a sitting duck, but Shimakaze finds that this is actually her sister, Amatsukaze. As such, Amatsukaze does not attack, and lets them tow her back to base for repairs.
From that part, Amatsukaze joins with them, since the other Fleet of Fog ships just left her out there to die, and none of them even bothered to help, unlike how Shimakaze and her crew did. They appreciate her more. She wants revenge on the others for being left out there helpless. Also, she wants to be with her "sister" too.
This would reference how the real Amatsukaze survived a torpedo attack from the USS Redfin which blew off her bow after setting off her forward magazine and killed 80 of her crew; the rest of her crew abandoned her under the assumption she was too heavily damaged. She was found still afloat six days later by a Japanese patrol plane and was towed back to Singapore to be fitted with a temporary bow.
Amatsukaze is equipped with most of the same Weaponry and gadgets as Shimakaze does, like the flares, Corrosive Missiles, Anti-Torpedo Pods, etc. This references how the real Amatsukaze had lot of the technology that was used on Shimakaze was tested first on the destroyer Amatsukaze. Her shield is also just as weak.
However, she has one unique weapon special for her. A Sniper Railgun designed to fire small (but powerful) projectiles with more range than typical Fleet of Fog laser cannons and Torpedos, with Deadly Accuracy. It has a long charge-up time and firerate though.
She also has a Super Gravity Cannon, unlike Shimakaze. However, she does not have the power to use it on her own.
Amatsukaze's Mental Model I'm still working on what she will look like. She's a bit of a klutz, but has a big heart. She holds very dear her sister, Shimakaze, and the two look out for each other.
One last point. Similar to Haruna and Kirishima, Shimakaze and Amatsukaze possess the ability to fuse into one massive Battleship. In this form, their Shields are strengthened to double the power, and they gain the ability to use a Super Gravity Cannon (originally housed in Amatsukaze's hull, and given extra power from Shimakaze and her installed Nuclear Reactor).
Carrier, Enterprise (Fleet of Fog)- Spoiler:
An Enemy Fleet of Fog ship, and a Major Boss. She's unique in that she has a sort of "Drone Army" style to her, and houses a massive number of robots inside of her, which she uses for combat and support.
Enterprise is a unique Fleet of Fog warship, using a specialized Hive-Minded Drone system. She houses inside of herself a large number of robotic drones, used for a wide array of purposes. One of the most feared of the Fleet of Fog, mainly because she holds an entire army inside herself.
Enterprise has 4 different types of drones. She also frequently collects materials when not fighting and constructs more of them. Her interior has a large storage area for loads of them, and a factory-like area to produce them too. Her drones are not sentient, but rather linked directly to her through a sort of Hive-Mind system. She has 4 different types of Drones. They are not like converted WWII planes, but different.
-Fighter: Small robots that sort of resemble Initone 0810, except without arms, and smaller legs. These ones are her most numerous, they are agile fighters which she uses to swarm the enemy. Hard to hit, but weak in defense and lack a Klein Field. They attack with repeating laser cannons, and homing missiles.
-Bomber: Large autonomous ships that resemble this ship, but gray in color. Like this. --> http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3vc03qv_eps/TuSkK8hvkdI/AAAAAAAAABs/DlyKjwXCOgs/s320/hgh.JPG Her bombers are much slower than the fighters, but packed with strong weaponry, and also have a Klein Field too (albeit weak though). They are used to assault the enemy with a myriad of explosives and other such weapons. She also has less of them, due to them being larger and takes more to produce. They are equipped with a repeating laser turret on the back, Lightning Missiles (those electric projectiles used by Haruna), Corrosive Missiles (like aerial Corrosive Torpedos), and Corrosive Torpedos that are dropped into the water from their belly (for use against aquatic foes).
-Submarine: Small Miniature Submarine Robots. They sort of resemble the Subpods from Disney's Atlantis, The Lost Empire. Like this. --> http://www.jrj-socrates.com/Cartoon%20Pics/Disney/Atlantis/Subpod_300.gif Underwater Drones used to cover her underside from surprise attacks. They attack with Harpoon-like weapons and Corrosive Torpedos.
-Repair Drones: Small spherical robots. Do not really look like anything else. These ones are not designed for fighting, but rather to fix damage to herself, other drones, and allied Fleet of Fog ships. Completely unarmed, but use specialized tools and spare Nanomaterials to fix damage. (Note: Originally I thought she'd use Shield Drones instead, but I now figured that would be overpowered).
However, Enterprise has a weakness. Although she has loads of drones, the ship itself is completely unarmed. This is due to her having to use more power for the Drones. She still has a shield though, but has no means of fighting back without the drones.
Enterprise's Mental Model resembles an elegant "Gothic Lolita" girl, with a poofy dress that extends down past her feet, and long gray hair. Her gray hair referencing the Enterprise's nickname of "The Gray Ghost." Sort of like this girl, but poofier, and with Gray Hair. --> http://kamon-san.deviantart.com/art/Sweet-Sweet-Chocolate-Lady-Elizabeth-and-Her-Pet-510604423
Enterprise takes massive pride in her army, and believes that she can win through strategic use of her drones. She also acts very lady-like often, and sometimes refers to herself as "Mistress Enterprise."
She is almost as dedicated to the Admirality Code as Kongou and Iona's sisters, and holds dear to carry out her orders and protect her masters, as well, like a big Zealot. Although she finds herself to be formidable, she never puts herself above her superior ships at all. She's also hard on the hunt for any Fleet of Fog ships who have betrayed the Admirality Code, like Takao, Shimakaze, and Amatsukaze
She is good friends with Nautilus, and many times travels with her. Nautilus also helped with the design of some of her drones, which are partially inspired by Sea Creatures she has seen.
Also, Enterprise has a unique Interface when fighting. A large holographic bubble appears around her, and small dots appear in it, showing the locations of her drones. She can then select them and make them move and attack. She can also project these screens to see things from their point of view. Red dots also appear, showing enemy positions. It's kinda like she's playing an RTS game with her interface.
Enterprise was going to be a reoccuring Antagonist in this, sometimes fighting only with her drones that happen to be in the area, other times assaulting them head-on. I had some stuff in mind where she tangles with Shimakaze and Iona too. Maybe some parts where Luto takes on her drones as well. Armored Submarine, Nautilus (Fleet of Fog)- Spoiler:
Nautilus will be an antagonist Fleet of Fog ship, whom Iona, Takao, and Shimakaze would eventually face against.
She is unique in that she isn't based on a real-world submarine, but rather a very famous fictional one. Though I found a way to fit her in.
She is a converted version of The Nautilus, Captain Nemo's great Submarine from the classic book, "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea." However, I thought I could work her in, by stuff like Gunzou believing her to be a former prototype Nazi submarine that never had been put into Mass Production.
First of all, if you haven't seen it before, here's a pic of what The Nautilus looks like: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/36/NautilusByWikiFred.jpg
Fleet of Fog Nautilus looks similar, except that Spear on the front is replaced with a Drill, she has a large pair of "Eyes" on her sides with Search Light-like lights beaming out of them, and the usual multiple vein-like markings and opening hatches that store her weaponry.
Nautilus was originally designed for exploration, and can dive to depths farther than usual submarines. Originally she achieved this through her tough hull, which can withstand that sort of water pressure. However, then like the others, she was found by whoever created the Fleet of Fog, converted, and weaponized. She now can use her Graviton Systems to create a field that weakens water pressure around her, useful for this. Her tough hull was still kept the way it was though, as for defense. Her "Eyes" with the lights beaming out of them, are to help view things better at the dark depths of the ocean, for things that radar cannot sense. The spear on front of The Nautilus was originally for fending off hostile sea creatures, but was then replaced with a drill, used for a powerful ramming attack now.
Also notable. Before the Fleet of Fog began their attack, some had seen her at sea and mistook her for a Sea Monster (something from the original 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea), different from the others that were mistooken for "Ghost Ships."
The Fleet of Fog have used her as a means of taking down human vessels who have attempted to avoid the Fleet of Fog's blockade by diving down below depths they did not think they could go to. Nautilus has the greatest water pressure resistance of all Fleet of Fog ships and can descend down farther than any of them.
Nautilus's Mental Model resembles a cute and cuddly girl with Drill Hair. This references both her front Drill, and how a real Nautilus has a spiral chambered shell.
Nautilus is extremely obsessed with Marine life, and spends a lot of time when not on patrol viewing them. She can dive down to extreme depths, and has seen Sea Creatures that no man has ever witnessed (similar to the original Nautilus's captain, Captain Nemo). She talks about it a lot in that "Tea Room World" that the Mental Models conversate wirelessly between. She's kinda like Maya in personality, except she's more obsessed with Sea Creatures than Tea and Carnivals. However, she can become quite aggressive in battle, almost in a bipolar-like way (said to be a flaw in her programming).
Kongou and Iona's sisters think that she isn't taking her duties as seriously as she should, but also likes that she has not shown any signs of diverting to the side of humans, and is still very loyal to the Admirality Code.
In combat, Nautilus has a very "Defensive" approach to her means of fighting. Unique from other Fleet of Fog vessels.
Nautilus is built with extremely resilient Wave-Force Armor, stronger than most others. Her Klein field is so strong, it would take 25 direct hits from Corrosive Torpedos to pierce it (stronger than most others, which can only withstand about 12). Also, she can survive a hit from a Super Gravity Cannon, no easy feat, except this would completely deplete her shields and she probably wouldn't survive much more after that. Totally built like a Tank she is.
However, she lacks the firepower of most other ships, and she has a much lower processing speed. Also she has no Super Gravity Cannon of her own.
In combat, she has a very "Stone Wall" style to it. She puts most of her power output directly to her Klein field, and she only "comes out of her shell" when the enemy has made even the slightest mistake, or when their defenses are open. She also fights alongside others, trying to soak up damage for them, or make them focus more on her as a target, since she can take more of a beating. She also tries to outlast the enemy at times too.
Her strongest (and favorite) attack is to ram the enemy head-on with the drill on her front, punching holes in them effectively. However, she leaves herself wide open if she misses her ram. She is also equipped with laser cannons, Corrosive Torpedos, and a unique weapon called "Urchin Mines" which have magnetic spikes to stick to enemies and explode.
Luto Osakabe (Design Child)- Spoiler:
Luto Osakabe was an artificial human created by Dr. Osakabe's experiments. She was designed to be more superior than a normal human as part of their project (like Makie was).
Luto possessed superior intellect, though still acted somewhat childish, much like Makie does. However, she does act somewhat more mature than Makie, though not completely
With her help, Dr. Osakabe designed a large mecha, an aerial robot sort of like a cross between a Vari-Tech fighter and WARLOCK from Strike Witches in a way, and it stood about 10ft tall (not that huge).
It was supposed to be autonomous, but never acted right, and also never obeyed directives, being too dangerous and uncontrollable on its own. Dr. Osakabe had it deactivated and stored in his lab for a while, until one day he actually needed it.
She's going to be an ally of Shimakaze's too.
I had her in mind for a couple reasons. First of all, to have a "Strike Witches-like" fighter among their group. Second, some of my ideas for her came after seeing this cool movie about robots, "Chappie." Did you see that movie yet? Some ideas for her also came from Portal too. As well as partially from the movie, Trancendence.
My one friend also finds her to be similar to a Non-Magic based version of Alphonse Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, if you know about him.
It was later found that Luto was now cursed to die young, an unfortunate side-effect of his projects (as stated in the series with the Design Children). Luto started to question her own mortality a lot there, like asking him "Daddy, why did you create me just to die?" Dr. Osakabe tried just about everything, but it wasn't going to work. He didn't want one of his daughters to die. He demanded that the army help him, but they merely figured that she served her purpose and she was no longer needed, not caring about her life one bit
Then Luto came up with something for her creator that would help her survive, well sort of. She wasn't sure if it would work, but she felt this might be her only shot at her sister "Not having To Go To The Next Place." Makie and Dr. Osakabe assisted her with this, although it took some serious convincing due to the nature of the project.
Using a complex procedure, designed by Dr. Osakabe, Luto, and Makie, Luto had her mind Brain-Mapped and uploaded into the Robot's Memory Unit. The procedure was a success, Luto became the robot. It also in turn gave a good way for Dr. Osakabe to cover up what happened, as for her presented her old body to the soldiers, leading them to believe she was dead.
For a while, Luto got used to her new form, as a large robot. Though at times this proved problematic for her, she could no longer feel things, or eat, or produce body heat, or even hug others without nearly killing them. Sometimes she wanted to help fight against The Fleet Of Fog with her equipped weapons, though Dr Osakabe forbid that, as for he didn't want her to get hurt.
Later on, the army found out about how Dr. Osakabe was covering up most of his unauthorized work, mainly though Makie. Luto was then forced to leave her father, for her own safety.
This is when she meets with Shimakaze.
Later on, she joined up with the other military group that Shimakaze joined. Shimakaze found her to be unique, and she also helped her with her new form.
Soon, Shimakaze found a means of giving her an "upgrade." Using some Fleet of Fog technology looted from totaled other ships, she equipped Luto with some of their tech, and an abundance of NanoMaterials. After that, Luto gained new abilities such as being able to project a Klein Field (though weaker and only from the front), a couple laser cannons, gravity propulsion systems.
And best of all, a device for her to project her own Mental Model. Luto liked this best, for this allowed her, after so many years, to finally experience what it's like to be human again (well sort of).
Luto became friends with Shimakaze and Amatsukaze, much like Haruna became friends with Makie. Luto thinks of Shimakaze as a sort of "Sister Figure" and Amatsukaze as a good friend. She also calls Shimakaze "ShimaShima" at times too. She also assists her in combat. Despite her small size, Luto has been able to take on Capital ships herself, using her agility to dodge enemy fire with ease and providing good support and reconnaissance help too.
Luto also still questions mortality after what happened with her. Like she wonders that now if she dies with this body, will she still go to heaven, despite once "defying death?" She also questions things like "Do Mental Models have an Afterlife?" Kinda sad, but it fits with what she's been through.
Although the enemy army still is hunting her down, since they don't want her alive anymore.
In fact, the soldiers later find out about the Brain-Mapping procedure that allowed Luto to live on in this Robot Body, and they now want to capture her to find out how she did it, and use it for their own programs (since Dr. Osakabe died, and took his secrets to his grave). Shimakaze and Amatsukaze and their crew have been defending her from this with everything they can.
Others among that army also believe that this might not really be Luto, but just a robot that's been thoroughly convinced that it is her (despite the fact that Luto demonstrates things such as the same personality and being able to remember her memories too). Since of this, they think that she could be dangerous, and want rid of her.
Luto's Robot body I am still working on. The best way to describe it I can think of, it will look kinda like a cross between Vector Raid, Pacifar, and WARLOCK from Strike Witches (though maybe not entirely like that). It also has a triangular head with a face with only eyes, but no visible mouth or nose, and fins on the sides which are actually her ears.
Luto's "Mental Model" is unique in that her's works better since she actually was once human. Her Mental resembles her past human self. She is playful, but at times doesn't realize her own strength. She still suffers from some limits on not being truly human.
Her robot body talks with a voice that sounds like a little girl's voice being played over an intercom. When using her Mental Model though, her voice sounds normal.
She possesses Mental Model powers now too, such as being able to project shields, create Mental Model decoys, and also interact with machinery with a holographic interface.
Also unlike most Mental Models, Luto can't stray as far from her Robot Body. She only has a range of about 250 meters, which is decent, but not much compared to how other Mental Models can go from. She also has a limited power supply too, which can only last for 5 days at the max (or even less if she uses more in combat). To make up for this, Shimakaze allows her to "recharge" off of her own power while she is asleep on board her. Luto cannot enter the "Teahouse Dimension" either, to communicate wirelessly with other Mental Models. The reason being is that the system doesn't recognize her as one of them and doesn't allow her access. However, Shimakaze and Amatsukaze still can, and she knows about some of their conversations there from them telling her about it.
Kinda like Hyuuga, she sometimes "stores" her Mental Model in a compartment inside of the robot's chest. Other times (also like Hyuuga), she makes these energy-based Puppet Strings project from her fingers while sitting on the robot's back.
The robot wasn't originally intended to be a direct combatist, but rather a sort of flying Gentle Giant for others to shelter behind. After her upgrade by Shimakaze though, she became better at combat though.
However, Shimakaze put a safety limiter on Luto's weapons, which she can activate or deactivate by remote. This was a precaution so that Luto doesn't hurt someone with them by accident unintentionally, as for she notices that she sometimes doesn't realize her own strength. She usually shuts off the limiter for her when an enemy approaches though.
Luto fights much like a Joint Fighter would in Strike Witches. Her armaments include repeating laser cannons (like Shimakaze has), Corrosive missiles, and a sword. Her sword isn't built in though, but she summons it to her hand in a manner like Kongou does. She can also fly too, and has great agility. Her agility was improved by some Gravity Manipulator devices installed in her that allow her to fly better.
I also had some things in mind like her meeting with Haruna, Makie, and Kirishima, or something like that. Makie being especially delighted and astounded to see her old "sister" like that too. What do you think?
Also, for convenience, pics of three of the real world ships they are based on. Shimakaze: - Spoiler:
Amatsukaze: - Spoiler:
Enterprise: - Spoiler:
So what do you think? Do you have anything you'd like to say about them? I'm open to improvement on my Fan-characters. I figure now that TrieDaEsprit and PrincessNana might have some good things to say about this. I'm still working on who will be Shimakaze and Amatsukaze's crew though. I want them to be different from Gunzou and his team, but still awesome. Also, I am trying to make them guys who'd be able to hold their own in some combat situations too (though Shimakaze and Amatsukaze will do most of the fighting). Maybe some of you could help if you are interested?

| I can imagine an actual side-story with this as the story, however there is one problem with an Ex-FoF with a crew team, although it can be added at a later point, I do want to know how Luto would move about on or in sea, as I'm wondering about the size of the robot (I would think at least ultraman-sized), and a humanoid that size would probably sink, I do hope that it was equipped with a propulsion system or something, I must say that you consider power balance and that is commendable | |

Luto (or more specifically her Robot Body) is roughly 12ft tall. She's not that big. Also she doesn't swim, she flies. She's like the aerial support to Shimakaze and Amatsukaze, like a high-performance aircraft used to help her out in battle, and is really tough to shoot down thanks to her agility and shields. Yes, I don't like OP characters, which is why I make sure they are balanced. Even the mighty Enterprise, who deploys a huge robotic army from inside of her, has understandable weaknesses. You really think this could be like a Side-Story? Hmm, I'll consider that. For now, I'm using them for RP uses. Also, I still need ideas for what the rest of Shimakaze and Amatsukaze's human crew will be. Could you help? There will need to be a Captain, an Engineer, a Navigator, someone at Gunnery, someone for Radar/Sonar- maybe have one of them also act as the Purser |

| I'm no good at making characters, sorry, but as I write this, I somehow ended up thinking of Nanoha and Strike Witches and how their army troops are more-or-less a yuri love nest | |

Well, I'm not planning on any of that in it. Some of her crew definitely will be Male, and Luto is definitely too young (even if she still were human, she's about the same age as Makie). Maybe I might add some stuff like that with Shimakaze and Amatsukaze, but I dunno. Then again, Hyuuga and Iona did have some big Yuri in-between them. |
