Probably would recommend dual Gladiator rather than Glad + Grap.

Obligatory Force on the gun pls, and 1 Grapid is enough. You won't utterly destroy his ammo too. Use the rest to give you more HP related tunes.

I'm not a fan of Sniper Sight, try Fast Recovery because this meta is full of debuffs all over the place.

An idea to try. If you give up on the gun or his melee his capa leans on ridiculous.

Sample build for melee Lios GB + EX handhelds:

If you make him a simple gunner, by dropping everything except the gun, you get really retarded builds. With either a LOT of HP, or still a lot of HP and a really low cost while still keeping WP tunes, maxed stats and revenge tunes.

I'm not really a fan of slow, but it's not that bad on Lios; he kind of needs that edge imo.

@FinalSpark = If you put him as Slow melee, why not bother using Sylvia instead? Much more range, much more fagging with hyperarmor, and much more slow-meta with stunlocks.

@Sorrow = Problem is, Pierce Gun hopper is way better than having him only as gunner, a perfect nerfed version of Shot Jace w/o Trinity Bullets. And I rather build Accel Saber than making him as only gun-hopper.


Lios GB has lots of utilizable tools and weapons that can come handy for various situations, such as Guard and Counter, which none of gun hoppers have these kind of tools to protect themselves of tight situations.

That is why I am building him as hybrid to stand up against any problems, and much more required controls and skills.

Gunner only is just a low cost thing. 1080 cost for a 530+ HP bot, with 2x revenge, 40 tec, 32 wlk, 3 non capa carts, wp tunes, and a bit with a pretty strong hit, it's not too bad. Though I'm not telling you to do so.

The only problem that I see with your build is the low stats. I'd chop down some weapon tunes to get more damage. All those speed tunes probably aren't needed, 1 of them is probably enough, and that's 4 of each stat that you get by changing them out. The grappler does almost as much as a single str tune, which is 5 cost and you could get +1 tec too (technically it does 0.something more than 2str).
Not sure if all the ranged hits on the last attack can inflict status, though 1x drain is a high bet for something that is supposed to stand against any problems, and not focused on dealing the status.

I don't really like grappler tunes on things that aren't 40 str, or only use it in bots that just doesn't have enough slots for that (40 str) but already have high str. Even less when the bot has more than 1 weapon using the same stat. Mostly because grappler tunes doesn't really increase the damage more than str does, when you consider the cost. There's only a few cases that it will increase more, and it implies that the bot will capa at a certain str value. But it depends on the bots. Some had str at a pretty low cost, others not as much.

Hell, you could probably drop the grapid and force tunes in exchange for the BLADINE SLOW COMBO or more balance. Any other weapon tunes on him is just unneeded.

It's a sample build, change what you see fit. Lios and Sylvia are incomparable, and what pleb tunes Slow on Sylvia?

Anyway if you really want reasons as to why you tune Lios over Sylvia with melee...
Sylvia does not learn Assault Step by leveling. Sylvia does not have a Counter that ignores Hyper Armor / CV. Sylvia isn't male. Sylvia can't drop Bladine. Sylvia can't hit 38/1 Boost Run as easy as Lios. Keeping Lios' gun is optional compared to Sylvia not having a gun at all. Lios can share parts and hold handhelds for easier tuning. Lastly, you Slow with Lios' melee then drop Bladine for HUGE DEEPS, but it's completely optional.

Ontopic with the gunner version.
He's relatively low cost in comparison to the fat costing bots we see today, his capa is amazing if you drop a weapon off your hands and you can avoid taking all capa carts b/c of it. The only other input I can provide has already been stated by CAV and Sorrow.

Fun fact: You can combo into the stab + shoot (Final hit from the combo) from the Counter if the Counter itself does not trigger, and unlike Momiji or Abyss Jikun Hu it will not consume ammo until the Counter actually triggers, so you can have some fun shenanigans with that.

No, he only does side slash from 2nd melee combo.

But thanks for all of you guys' caring for this build, so I came up with better suggestion.

I am keeping more of his gunner-prior-hybrid path, since his melee attacks are meant for debuff ganking, I don't need lots of STR for this guy.

Drop tge hsupply and use grapid alpha. You're not going to be shooting at max range and hsupply is a shit tune.

Range threat is still a threat. I still can't afford to drop the range that is already around like Heracles Beetlegun tier. Besides, swaying attack allows me to hit very fast w/o dropping my aim speed, which is 441.

Land gunners (for the most part) don't shoot past 240-250. There are exceptions like Sekka and Flare Momiji, but the point of it is to overwhelm whatever you're shooting at. You're not supposed to hit shit from long range, you're supposed to harass things and circle them or close the distance to whack them.

I should ask you more about gunners one day ;~; I was kind of planning on putting GFA and 2 HS on Lios GB's gun.
