Need some help with a new forum theme

I really like the new forum skin. Other than moderators being blue and the post icons now looking outdated, everything else looks snappy and bright.

There's literally nothing drawing me to realize that forums have new posts in them

Crimrose is bright as fuck, lily is bright as fuck. The only reason I realize crim is different is because she has black on her. The theme is white so the hyperlinks just blend into the background. I can barely take a glance and see the difference between the white paper and the orange paper. I scroll down and I swear I see an orange paper, but it's just the papers and the black headers mixing together to fuck with my eyes and no one has actually made any new posts.

I don't go onto a forum after brawling people's shit ingame just to do work trying to read the fucking forum. This theme actively works against getting everything you need to know at a glance.

There doesn't need to be. I only use it to develop themes for Forumotion forums.

Also, I gave you guys the link to my test forum and you have a couple of days to say anything about it and give your opinion.

There are no mods, so it'd be impossible for us to realize, "wow, mod names really do not show up on this forum".

it doesn't matter, your test forum doesn't represent how using the theme in an actual posting environment feels. i can look at your theme and be like "meh okay" but when it comes to actually using it there's an issue

the BG is kinda bland.... The top is nice, but once you scroll down...

OK, at first glance, I really liked the new forum look.

After reading posts for a half of an hour, though, this level of brightness is irritating.

I feel like I've been staring at the sun.

the Crim and Lily images on the top is disturbing me more than it should...

I don't know why.

i think the new topic button being yellow is ugly as hell and clashes with everything and should be changed to dark blue or something like that

Why not just make it blue then make it yellow when hovered over? Is that impossible?

username font for DOS and VIP. i swear both got an almost same color

It's either they changed it after your post or your color preception is kind of messed up Stick, or maybe you are looking at the monitor from a wrong angle, that can distort the color on some monitors

This theme makes me want to visit this forum less than before. It's too bright.

I don't mind the brightness, but I really don't like the background :V

Imo making it a little darker would help a lot.

I wonder what everyone has a problem with a bright theme. Don't any of you go outside? It's much brighter out there.

I find darker colors more pleasant to look at. A lot more.

Reason why my screen's brightness is always on the lowest. Bright colors just feels like your eyes are burning when you look at it for too long. And since this is a forum where people like to have long arguments, you'll be spending a lot of time reading.

I've spent the last hour looking at new topics and I don't have a problem with it and my screen's brightness setting is at 80%

too blinding

i think switching to a slightly darker shade of gray would make these people happier.
