Need some help with a new forum theme

Happy Holidays everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their time off from school and spending time with their families. ^^


During the winter break I thought it would be good to try and work on a new forum theme again, but I need your help! You guys use the forum more than I do so I would like to see what you guys want. Please remember that I want to try and keep it Cosmic Break themed as possible seeing as this is the Fan Forum for the game.

So I was wondering on what to do for the images. We don't have to replace all of the images that are on the forum but some new fresh ones would be nice. (And I could probably do a better job on them than I did the last time. xD)

Haaaa noooo that Eris image is perfect for certain reasons

Try and get images that are high resolution and preferably with a transparent background.

The Eris' one is not amazing quality.. you also would want to use the same art style for new posts, no new posts and locked.

The Zero Saber Relic posted seems like a good idea to be one of the robots for the new banner. Just look at him, he's all ready to go.

As for angry Ouka for locked topics...

I think the locked icon would look better if you flipped it, horizontally. The other two faces are pointing to the left.

It is possible but it's just too much work to try and get it to work. I have to do it in a "hack-y" sort of way. And then to get the themes to work, I have to upload them to hitskin which I don't want to do.

Nope. People will just want me to make more and more themes that they want. I'm not having that. So you only get one.

This is not a job. I'm not obligated to make themes. I don't have to make themes at all for this forum. I do it because I like to do it. So this is just a hobby more or less.

You're not getting multiple themes. End of discussion.

Doing one theme and little changes hear and there are fine, but I'm not going to create a ton of different themes just because 1 or two people want it.

Do you have any idea how much of an improvement multiple themes would be to the forums? I guess we're not getting it though, because "it's hard". You don't have a point when it came to "then people WANT me to make themes!", because as you can see right there with myself as an example, people don't need YOU specifically to make themes. The only issue is that they have to go through you to be implemented. It's not like people wouldn't make themes for coins or root or anything like that.

First you downplay your title, then you go back to overplaying it. I'm going to stick with it simply being a title, personally.

Actually no, I'm going to go indepth on why Ouka is an issue. No one is going to bat an eye over Crimrose, Lily, and DG, because they're basically mascots. They've been there forever, and they don't really represent a particular subset of the community. You add in Ouka, who came in much later and is a niche character with her own specific following, and things start to kind of feel forced. This is why I wanted multiple themes, because personally I much prefer the original theme (and fuck hexagons honestly) and I don't want to have this new theme forced on me. To go even deeper, not everyone gives a shit about Zero Saber, so I don't want to force him on anyone either.

Yeah.. I'm not too crazy about hexagons, myself. Rectangles fit nicely into those slots.

I'll just Adblock the images if I don't like them.. just like I do with all the forum backgrounds and title images.

This is a fan forum, none of the staff gets paid. I gave up expecting the staff to do their 'job' since it's not actually a 'job'. Most just want the fancy title and don't give a fuck afterwards. Goes like this in a lot of forums.

Good point. We could make it the old starters. Before Hu got replaced by Long. But I guess most would prefer Long.
