Float Dash

@topic: I've been reviewing both Boost Run and Short Boost charts. But is there any Float Dash chart out there?

Pretty sure 30 fly is the final breakpoint for float dash, but I'm not sure.

float dash does THINGS in a similar way that hopping does. I can work off either walk or fly. I wouldn't be surprised if they cloned the hop breakpoints for float dash, but until someone tests it we can't be sure.

for the most part on fly-builds people cancel float dash into flight by holding space bar anyway. on walk builds is where it would be actually interesting to test.

Well from my experience, when using float dash I felt bot fly faster I guess. I have Fia with 35 FLY and 5 WLK atm. Gonna upgrade her to 38 FLY and 4 WLK soon. I can roughly say that the flight will last around 2 seconds.

Imho, float dash uses more booster gauge. So if there's a bot with moar WLK than its FLY, maybe the time of flight will be lower.

Float dash lets you fly without consuming all your boost and messing up aim on certain weapons. Alba is a prime example of a great float dashing robot, you can aim his missiles while dashing around to avoid projectiles. I do notice differences between fly speed and float dashing, 28 fly and 31 fly float dashes seem to have the biggest difference.

Sorry what I actually meant by using more booster gauge on float dash is that Air bot has longer flight period. So when non-air fly (in this case float dashing), it consumes more booster gauge.

That's obvious. Airs have ~12 seconds of boost time.

While I agree that: when other types doing Float Dash, their boost drain quicker, due to lower boost time. Which is why their boost consumption seem to be higher.

you can still float dash effectively with high WLK and low FLY is what I am saying. It's not like sway, for example, which is terrible at low WLK.

Float Dash means you can come it at a faster rate / longer range than Short Boost.

So if you're gonna use it on Kuten... you can chase/retreat faster (of course mind your boost gauge)
