Air Alpha?

After trying to be an air alphag..

iFail..

I'm using a shop Katalina, and found out that air alphagging is kinda hard. I watched a video of Haruka Langit doing a little alphag, and it's done very well.

The difference :

Haruka : alpha while flying, (only 1 burst of all weapons) doesn't lose altitude, doesn't stop flying
My Katalina : alpha while flying, (only 1 burst of all weapons) falls, gets raeped...

Anyone know what causes Katalina to be so fail? D: Thanks. Smile

Its because katalina only has moving burst as compared to haruka's LONG moving burst. Plus, why are you alphaing with katalina? Katalina is a FAT moe air and core spams more than alphaing unless you are an flapalina or iglylina. Or if your trying to make a beginner allowable kata with 2x cross shooters. In general, katalina is not an alpha air. I'm basing all of this off experience and with no knowledge of the new kata.

There's a few shop builds you could use with her that would do decently, however Air Raider or Pacifar (with Raystag HD) would probably outperform her. If you want to alpha with Katalina specifically, the builds above should do okay.

You are comparing moving burst and long moving burst. It's plain stupid to do so.

Normally, just use air loop when you lose altitude. Kata's low int core is ~~good~~ gay with flap am because it kills all cd.

if you wanted to alpha you should have gotten air raider not katalina
katalina core weapon isn't that good for alpha because low range and low damage and not even that much boost steal without eiw

compared to those builds mentioned above, i think my katalina needs more improvements due to still using normal katalina's AM.. gotta get a frau T_T

btw, if i take of frau AMs n put 'em on katalina, where should i put frau LG? It's a good melee weapon, i think.

While it's becoming outclassed, Frau LG still works pretty well with slow tunes. Given the amount of times it hits, it slows things more often then a lot of melee. Sticking them on a regular Seraph Crimrose used to be "the thing". I don't think it would be quite AS effective nowadays, but it would probably work fine if you didn't go blind charging in and made use of your radar.

moving zig zag on the air helps

it feels WONDERFUL to see homing missiles and beams past by your right and left
i hav both kata and air raider, and yeah, thumbs up on air raider.
if only we can change the head of kata (lol) i would like to put raystag hd there
the only good thing that i found from shop kata's built in weapon was only it's great fire rate and boost steal

Recent awesome CB update added many-a-bots in the shop like some standard garamoes and popular mechs. No variants, all 2s. This is why you see Veagles everywhere.
