| They say explosives are effective against AIRs. But whenever I open fire at an AIR bot, they dodge easily! And when I use an AIR bot, they can still shoot me down! How do I aim?? - Please help. Thanks.:

| Here's a life changing guide to the ancient methods of surviving AIRs. I heard some mad, mad people equip their LNDs with zooks or swap to ART when facing the flying pests, but who would believe such nonsense. e: On a more serious note, I used to think that the position of my crosshair had no influence over the accuracy of shots as long as the target was locked-on. Guess I didn't learn anything from Armored Core. - Spoiler:

| Wait, you were serious? - Shit's huge:
First, the whole "weapon triangle" CB has is based solely on damage. [Redacted modifiers 'cause I don't know my shit]
This has nothing to do with tracking, homing or hit rate at all, but hitting an AIR with a Bazooka, for instance, deals some pretty nasty damage.
Second, elevation plays a pretty important role here: A bot shooting another from above will be more accurate than the one returning fire from below. With that in mind, something that helps a lot when fighting AIRs is to stick to higher places since this not only shortens the distance between you and the opposition but also limits how high the AIR can get (Every map has a maximum height).
On the same line of thought, tunnels are great for hidding and ambushing flying bots, not only because, again, they can't use height in their favour inside them, but also because they will usually approach a fleeing enemy by flying until close enough to the tunnel before descending, blinding them from, say, a melee stunlock.
As for AIR x AIR, the same applies: Stay at the same level as the opposing bot, or higher. AIRs can use blast weapons like everybody else, so carrying a dogfight-oriented sub doesn't sound like a bad idea at all.
If all else fails, just fucking run. Chances are you'll find a target you can actually deal with instead of getting wreacked by something you can't.

| The only blast type handhelds AIRs can use, that I can name off the top of my head, are the Mini Bazooka and Bomb Launcher. |

Which sounded like he was disappointed or something. I guess I was just being gullible. @Winty: Fair enough, and apologies for that. I saw this bit of info in a thread I skimmed through and didn't check the sources. @Diabolical: Mini zook was what I had in mind when typing that, but after consulting the Calc, I realized this is pretty much one of the few examples of this kind of weapon. I believe that beam bazookas such as the SDC and PBC also deal, at least partly, blast damage as well, but I can't really confirm this atm. Thanks for pointing those out. | |

| You want to use something with a lot of speed, decent range, and homing in general. A ballistic launcher tuned with 3x Great Rapid Beta is one of the best uc ways. You can get the 3s version off the UC Garapon or buy it during Bazaar.
If you still can't hit them you're just going to need "a lot" more explosives to shoot at them with. Rocket Launchers on a BD with a built in explosive weapon and getting all the techinical breakpoints tends to work extremely well.
If that doesn't work just use more gun until it does.
Or use a Homing Kagura. lololololololololololol | |

| there is 7 tipe anti air weapons :
1. anti air missiles : albateros, grand dug driver / dugdriver. toy girl bp ams. ext.
good tracking and deal big damages to airs tipe mecha.
2. (sub weapon) anti airs missiles : destructor girls, destructor, ext.
superb tracking and deal big damages to airs but a bit slow chasing the airs.
3. homming bazoka : victory 1 baz, roket laucher, compack launcher, ext
good traking and can deal nice damage to land tipe mecha.
4. spread missiles : illumis, burs missiles ( weapon ).
when the missiles reach enemy face, the roket will burs to 3 or more small missiles.
5. normal bazoka :gadling bazoka, mid bazoka, mini bazoka, handy bazoka. ( all normal bazoka have large damages to air mech even to land tipe but not homming and very deadly ).
6. blast bazoka / gadling blash bazoka : can take down air mech / moe from flying around, have large area efeck and give large damages.
7. psy gun / magnet gun/ blast magnet gun : very good traking, fast & good damages.
some trick to kill airs :
1. waiting the target landing.
2. camping in hi spot.
3. use hooper mecha / moe.
importand note :
1. seraph wing have anti homming ability.
2. broad radar will help you easily spot the air mecha/moe.
3. some airs have evade ability.
