1. Describing how to use Ouka is somewhat tricky. Just learn what her boundries are (inability to fight other melee bots very well, low HP, no air combo), and what you should do in each situation. I do not suggest "charging" with Ouka, you should never take direct routes. Try to think when you use her; if attacking a bot will mean being attacked by nearby bots that could potentially kill you before you finish, try waiting for the bot to move farther away.

2. You don't. Ouka is not meant for fighting melees, especially good melee like Vanguard Axer


Build is pretty important to a sucessful Ouka (especially in this new CB of Resha/Eris)

I can answer 2 at the moment.

Basically, you might wanna boost run around and shoot your discs. Just make sure you are a safe distance away from his Axe ESPECIALLY when he's in overdrive.

Also, you can try and lure him to your base or to an ally in order to get backup.

In a 1v1 situation, sure, but in an average arena, this isnt as likely to occur, and if it did you'd be best just to escape and go do more productive things. At most you'll whittle down the Axer before he decides its pointless to keep being kited by you.

Really depends how you tuned Ouka, but I'll advise you to not melee directly and always have full WB gauge at all moments to WB dodge.

1. This is better demonstrated to you in game than explained here.

2. The only times you would verse other melees are
- When you can't outrun it.
- When you want to escape it's stunlock.
- When it's on very very low HP and can be killed in a few hits.
- When it's a noob player, self explanatory.
- When you have nothing else to attack.
- When it is looking away from you and doesn't know you're behind it. Backstab it, hit and run.
- When it targets you.
- When you get slowed by it.
- When you want to die.
- When you want to feed.
- When you are LXE/Hakuo.

Preference doesn't have shit to do with the fact that Ouka BS is statistically one of the worst BSes in the game, for one thing.

Ouka used to be a great hopper killing melee (CHASE AND ANCHOR THEM TO GROUND WITH SAKURA BLITZ)... but then Vanguards became more and more available...

and now Resha and Eris >_>

so there are not enough hoppers for oukas to be efficient for now.

Her melee combos are very tricky to enemies and it can stunlock for a good amount of time, but her critical weakness (no air combo!!) kinda ruins it :/

ive been working with grappler tunes for a long time, but for now, go for a gladiator tune since most ART bots these days in arena are not as slow as they used to be (longer attk range and speed = more likely to hit and anchor them to ground... but H-gladiator tunes are just too expensive... 11 rainbow chips :/) and most enemy melees WILL have a longer attk range than you, thus gaining advantage unless you do something with your own attk range.

I don't feel h.glad's anything great on Ouka, just because her starting range and stunlock are ass to begin with.

Whatever you do don't g.grap her though. I cry whenever people think g.grap on combo based melee is a good idea.
