Well, in all fairness, ACTA isn't new legislation. It's been around since 2010 and has been changed quite a few times. Yes, it's bullshit, but America is good at proposing laws like that. At this point, I'm just waiting to figure out when they are going to stabilize the stupid bill so I can call my state officials and tell them to not be morons.

ACTA itself isn't the problem. It's what governments could potentially do once it's passed.

It doesn't actually do anything on its own. It DOES give governments the authority to pass certain laws... which could potentially fuck things up very badly.
