katalina & Air Sway

anyone tested it yet if it has the same propertys as normal sway ?

(im talking about katalina (oh that L why cs, why ..) if that wasnt obvious >.>)

it sure seems like there is a bot now with similar annoying flight as seraph and aquila girl
well, i guess the pure flying time is even longer then those two, and airsway goes against antihoming+speed and flightregainafter stun + speed

in any case, it seems pretty interesting, even with the bot bein huge compared to many other airs that are flying around at this time ... but it can gear up L size weapons hmmmm

any comments on this bot yet?

Really gimmicky, but fun gimmicks compared to most other stuff. Her STOVL is amazing, I don't know if it's common knowledge yet why it's so awesome so I'll leave it as a mystery for now. I'm pretty sure boost steal works on Shaden BS and Full Boost so you can try and mess with those asshole buridens. Her AM are fun and do okay, although I'd definitely remove them from Katalina and put them on something else. Slide Boost seems pretty useless, I think Accele Roll would have much, much more synergy with the rest of her kit.

Right now I have two ideas in mind. An anti-buriden setup with prop bits, accele roll, dual minizook, and moving burst. Just get up close to them using Accele Roll with prop bits and burst burst burst 'em until they are out of boost guage. And more generic set-ups using Powered Laser or alpha air.

Yeah, the stovl thing is pretty common knowledge it seems. I haven't seen any Katalina users that haven't figured it out yet.

I don't see any reason to keep her arms. For weapons...you could abuse stovl with prop bits and Power Shooter. You could use her boost steal to be incredibly annoying with blitz blaster, powered laser, mega beam gun, and the like. You could even to alpha with her.

She's extremely versatile and, as far as I'm concerned, the best air moebot. She's got so much going for her, only constraints are hitbox and capacity.

I prefer accele roll
I already have a mbg build for her

I think CBEN needs to finally innovate and use proper arts instead of just spamming EVE as the major counter all the time.

blame CBJP... being AIR in here very damn hard life with lot of those damn zook hoppers with very damn small cheap bot, and those zook aint normal zook too, they full tuned.

because you propably call everything overpowered at first glance, thats why

from what i saw, the core weapon isnt blessed with big, fast bullets and is also nonhoming, this means a skilled player will do well but the average joe wont be able to use her core weapon at all

the stovl abuse seems like a major plus for air to air combat but will mostly not be abused outside of that (reason: ammo)

the air sway makes her hard to hit and kind of negates the bigger hitbox

but to judge it to be overpowered is still to early, since i dont have one myself and i see them rarely in arena (also, from what i saw i wouldnt call her overpowered, but let me state that again when someone skilled with a fully build bot shows up)

This. As an air player, I feel that against just about any robot with a tuned zook that can actually aim, I'm dead meat. Even with an ABR, I get out-DPS'd by much cheaper zook lands, simply because airs are that much weaker to blast weaponry (2.3 times as much damage, compared to 1.4 times for lands from beams). Quite frankly, I feel that airs can't compete in the meta without either relying on the enemy to suck at aiming or to use cheap gimmicks (Seraph Wing's anti-homing being the most common).

I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether katalina's AM subweapon (claws) is based on tec or str? I've seen people say tec, or str, or that it's half and half, and obviously someone's wrong. does anyone here know?
