Someone give me valid reasons why Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a GOOD anime.

Hint: Kyubey or Moe dosent count.

Pretty much this. It's selling point is that it's unique in its approach to the magical girl genre. And it has people intrigued, including myself.

Mostly what they say.... But how it's a deconstruction that really wowed the audience. See, this show, which is supposed to be a magical girl genre, has flopped all the rules like a good deconstruction. Like how Evangelion did mecha, Madoka did to the magical girl genre.

At first you won't notice the difference.... But I assure you: watching this is like expecting a Taliban attack: you won't know what will happen next.

Because it's not only the first anime I watched completely in about seven years (and I marathoned it at that), but it's also the closest any show's come to making me cry.

It's really hard not to get attached to the characters...and then... ;__________;

It has a giant marsh mellow looking worm thing eating the head of a character, that I thought, was going to be a main character.

And it takes a stick and shoves it up most animes of its kind and says DO IT LIKE THIS.

I was going to dropped it on ep 02 but still have ep 03 downloaded to watch and this is where hell begin, bring the darkness on school days (but on diferrent way) level but much more earlier

when the story become more and more mind****ing, i just couldn't stop watched it, maybe I am a bit sadistic

It is good because of the cuteness and fluffiness, and because of the awesome Witch Boss Fights with lots of Parkour and Explosions and Combat that remind me of something out of Kingdom Hearts, Persona, Stretch Panic, or Final Fantasy. That's why it is good.

Madoka Magica is one of the most cutest and action-packed animes I've ever watched, though Sonic X and Strike Witches are still WAY better than it will ever be, but it's still third best on my list. You will love it!

Although it doesn't make sense at times and there are a couple of wasted potential and disappointing moments, and not to mention how the Witches are all drawn in art styles remiscient of stuff like "The World of Gumball," "Blues Clues," "Betty Boop," "Chowder," "Courage The Cowardly Dog," and other shows like that, and due to those art styles it is hard to take it seriously, but other than that it is totally awesome and cute!!!

Oh, and it has No Blood, No Swearing, No Sex, No Drugs, and No Nudity, just so you know.

It didn't make me cry. Seriously, I didn't shed a tear at all while watching it.

I found Aeris's horrible demise in Final Fantasy, and Shinku's Tragic Death in Rozen Maiden, and Iris's awful death in Megaman X to be Way More Upsetting than anything in Madoka Magica. Seriously, those scenes had me a nervous wreck for like a week when I first saw them. Nothing in Madoka Magica made me feel this way though.

What? As if the drastically different and ridiculous art styles of the Witches, and the better action and combat didn't give it away that it wasn't an ordinary Magical Girl show (which by the way, was there from the start, since Episode 01 even). Also what made it different, even since Episode 01, is that the Witches in it are fighting on their own behalf, and they aren't being sent out by some Queen Beryl or Rita-esque Head Honcho villain from her random cache of monsters, like in other Magical Girl shows. Also, they never say stuff like "We'll win by using the Powers Of Love" or something corny like that.
I knew it would be different just from that stuff there. Why didn't you?

And completely ruined an epic and long True Last Boss Fight against Kriemheld Gretchen, and made me really disappointed, not to mention, made the Last Boss, WalpurgisNight, look weak.

What the ending SHOULD HAVE BEEN, is that Homura would then use a huge bunch of Grief Seeds at once for their power, and then transform into "Hyper Homura" or something like that, and then share her power with the others, making the other girls become Hyper too, and then there would a really long and epic True Last Boss Fight against Gretchen with lots of blasting and flying and awesomeness. At the end, they'd all sacrifice themselves in order to destroy Gretchen, but then she'd be finished and peace would be restored.

That would've made the series better in my opinion. It would've been like the True Last Boss fight against Apokarimon in Digimon Season 1, or the True Last Boss of Andromeda in Megaman Starforce The Anime, or the True Final Fight against Metal Overlord in Sonic, but 10 TIMES COOLER!!!

But no, instead we are given a quick and uneventful ending without a big awesome True Last Boss Fight against Gretchen that was so lackluster and had so much wasted potential!!! It's still a great anime, but it could've been Way More Better with stuff like this. GRRRRR!!!

BTW, Meguca isn't a deconstruction.

I didn't really like the music in it. The music wasn't that cool to me. The anime was still good though, but the music wasn't great.

If you want some actually good music, treat your ears to some of these below! Man, I wish Madoka Magica had music similar to this.

Seriously, it's not too violent or bad. I'd still say its family friendly.
Yeah, so what if Mami got her head chewed off? There was no Blood and guts when it happened, and it wasn't that bad.

Seriously, like Star Wars actually showed death scenes such as Jango Fett getting beheaded by Mace Windu, followed by his son Boba mourning over his death, and Darth Maul being ripped in two by Obi-Wan more.
And Samurai Jack on Cartoon Network actually showed death scenes like Jack dismembering an Evil Alien, with the alien screaming in pain as well.
And Sonic showed violent deaths such as Maria getting gunned down in front of Shadow (by soldiers with actual lead-bullet guns, not lasers).
And even Wreck-It Ralph had really horrible death scenes like this zombie guy getting his heart torn out.
And even DragonBall Z had death scenes like Dr Gero getting his head ripped off, and Frieza being torn in half, and Cooler being beheaded, and Vegeta chopping Guldo's head off, and Imperfect Cell impaling an innocent bystander through the back with his tail stinger then literally sucking the life out of him until he withered away!
But all of those were still considered family friendly, because NO BLOOD!!!

Now if when Mami was killed, there was blood gushing out all over the place like something in Elfen Lied or Fate/Stay Night or Attack on Titan or Kill La Kill, then it would be another story. But there wasn't any blood, and I'd still say Madoka Magica isn't that bad or violent. None of the other death scenes had any blood and guts too. If at the most, I'd sad Madoka Magica would be rated E10+, but not much more than that.


NONE OF THE DEATH/INJURY SCENES IN MADOKA MAGICA WERE LIKE THIS BELOW, WITH ALL THE BLOOD AND GUTS, SO IT IS STILL FAMILIY FRIENDLY!!!
