I'll be looking for referees a month beforehand the tournament starts (exceptional referees that record 3 or more different match-ups will be given some amount of rt)

Here's the tournament set up:

Set up:

Participant #'s won't go in order like so and will be randomized
There are a total of 28 match-ups (Excluding semi-finals and finals because they must be observed by me)
For every 3 match-ups observed by a single ref, the ref will be given 150 rt ($15)
So a maximum of 1,350 rt ($135) can be given away to good refs
I'll have a limit of 10 referees
Participants can also be made referees, meaning, if you are a participant and a referee, by just making it to the semi-finals you are guaranteed at the least 150 rt, however, I will only select people whom I deem trustworthy enough to become a referee

What're you looking for when refs observe a match? A screenshot? A video? Anything that works as proof of match? Also, I'm not sure if you stated this anywhere, but are matches Best 2 of 3, or just a single fight?

Logically speaking, it would be most efficient for participants themselves to be refs honestly... They'll be in their own match after all xD

I'll take the referees word for it because some unexpected things might happen (lag/dc/cheating or whatever else)

Ah. That's a lot more lenient than I thought it would be O: I'm assuming it would still be a good thing to have screenshots at least though.

The random participants make sense... Though, you might see a lot of familiar faces in the tournament anyways. xD Guess there's no way but to choose your refs carefully if the only thing you're requiring is the ref's word.

I'm interested~ Any estimate on when ref spots will be open? or will you simply be appointing them as you see fit?

That's why I'll only select referees I see as trustworthy enough

So ref sign-ups will be 2-3 months from now (when rules are finalized)

If it's possible to do all the matches, does that mean there could be multiple referees in one match? Recording still optional correct? I'll help record the other side if xz wants.

There could be multiple referees in one match, but the one who posts the results first will be the one counted as observing the match
Recording is optional- people will probably want to see a few matches
