o.o first off, Sharhead may not be the fastest bot around, but among other land bots, Sharhead may have the least trouble getting around obstacles and water.
Unlike others, Sharhead simply runs across water and in midair as if he was still on ground (as long as he started running on a solid platform). This makes him a great hit-and-runner with the combination of Moving Burst at lvl 9
So, i don't think his melee plays too much of a part in making Sharhead be effective in battle :O
HOWEVER! since u want to know about his MELEE, i'll tell you some stuffs about it >:3Sharhead's melee starts out like this:
-standing still/walking:
slash twice (u charge forward and covers exceptionally long range :O), then
finish off by grinding the ground with the board (long~ delays... leaves Sharhead vulnerable for about a second and it doesnt do much dmg, either)
-flying/running:
slash twice, just like mentioned above, but with more charge distance (very easy to hit with it. i luv to spam right click >:3). After that, u
finish off by grinding the ground with the board, but it has shorter delays and range (it deals more dmg and it doesnt leave ur precious Sharhead vulnerable to enemy fire for too long!).
*whenever u slash, a bright yellow light engulfs ur board and it looks... so kewl :3
*whenever u grind the board, a trail of light follows u... epic
Pros/Cons?
-Sharhead's first two slashes have fairly good lock-on. it's very easy to hit. in addition, it covers wide attk area and range.
-HOWEVER Sharhead's melee isn't technically the "strongest in town," per se. so try to limit ur use of melee and focus on your ranged attks.
TIPS ON HOW TO USE SHARHEAD MELEE?
I'm not a pro at using Sharhead, but i still get around
i don't try to melee unless it is necessary (opponent charging towards me and no way to escape/some dumb large ART trying to 1v1 a Sharhead/to pick off low-flying airs that are NEAR your Sharhead to the ground)...
-always try to melee while flying. I think this doesnt only apply to Sharhead, but most of the other melee bots as well. by attking in midair, u leave lesser openings for your opponent to try and fly away.
-Sharhead's melees have COOL animations and AWESOME special effects!
... but they're not the strongest. try not to get carried away. try not to use melee as ur main source of dmg...
-Sharhead has little potential as a rusher.
REMEMBER: SHARHEAD IS NOT A LAGKUN, HAHA!BUILDS?
-I personally use either bazooka+shield, 2 bazookas, negatron rifle+bazooka, or Raid Rifle+bazooka.
*I use bazookas so that i am not AS weak as i'm supposed to be against AIR bots. NOTE THAT BAZOOKA WILL DECREASE YOUR MOBILITY, HOWEVER.
-for WB, use Dual Rifle Bit if u want to go for a full-range Sharhead (like me). If u want to protect yourself from incoming enemy melees, use Dual Slayer/Dual Spike Bit.
-switch his BS for with another bot. since Sharhead's BS decreases WLK (which is a no-no! D:)
-try to balance your STR and TEC. Even if you want to go Range-focused Sharhead, it's nice to keep some STR in case of a melee. ALSO, your WB will last longer if you balance the STR and TEC.
WBs are crucial for Sharhead's survival in many ways.
-Carts?
*Since Sharhead needs a LOT of tuning in order to have a sufficient amount of TEC and STR, u need almost all of the cost caps... u know wat? put in all cost caps (unless ur some of those ppl that dont tune their bots.. which in that case, just have enuff cost capa for your weapons, parts, and other cartridges)
*Have Moving Burst, Blast Guard, Sword Guard...
*Boost Run is optional. I don't have Boost Run but it might be bettr off with one
