Drop Bot Guide Empty
PostSubject: Drop Bot Guide   Drop Bot Guide EmptySat Feb 19, 2011 5:24 am

It's 3 AM right now so I'm not going to fill this out completely atm, but I want to get at least a rough outline out before I lose the will to write this.

Land
Skullroid
Blocky
Ace Braver
Hogroid
Hound
Red Squealer

Air
None. :c

Art
Build Arm
Misside
Wootree
Damtree
Grandum

Support
Elme.S
A.Maid
Tarantulic

Blocky - Moderate cost, only has accessory and LG slots. Next to no customization or tuneup potential as a result. Very small though, and +internals make a noticeable difference in both his gun and melee. Amusingly enough has Moving Burst, even though the only main weapon he can use is his internal x2 handgun.

Skullroid -

Ace Braver - Very similar to Lazflamme in stats and core size, except Ace has an internal x2 handshot. Probably best known for his parts; his AM provides useful stats for airs and provides a very solid melee combo in pairs. His LG is both the smallest LG available and has fantastic stats for gunner-type bots (+2 tec +3 wlk). His BS is equippable by all types, a property shared only with Adone BS, and gives both fly and tgh, making it universally applicable, and great for hoppers. Just like Laz, his build potential is versatile, he can be built to any typical land role ranging from melee to gunner to hopper. Worth noting that Ace Braver is also a gara bot.

Hogroid - yeah i know nothing about this

Hound - See Hogroid. I've been told Hound is comparable to Jaguar Arm.

Red Squealer - Great melee bot, and in a sense like an L-size zero saber. Cart step functions similarly to zero step, complete with damage bonuses. His arms are like an L-sized variant of Ace Braver AM: bigger, stronger, and longer. A popular choice for falcon punching the unsuspecting.

Build Arm - Lowest-cost art that has completely customizable parts. Bad stats, but since he still has the capacity to equip rifles and breakers he can be used as an obnoxious, disposable sniper. Note the BS has AA missiles while still only being 45 cost, though the missiles themselves are both weak and inaccurate.

Misside - Honestly haven't used Misside itself. AMs are popular on other arts for added firepower.

Wootree - A stump. Lacks arm slots. Internal weapon is Multimissiles, very similar to Grandum BS's, but with less lockons. Despite the lack of arms, is a surprisingly decent low-cost art due to how hard the multimissiles hit. Highly recommended that you use an HD with a main weapon.

Damtree - A tree. Also the only LL-size bot in the game.

Grandum - In ways, similar to a more mobile destructor with less tec, more tgh, and decent mobility. Lacks an HD slot. Its BS is a popular choice for L-arts that lack their own internal missiles. It can lock onto four opponents at a time, and in the case of less, can fire two missiles at the same target.

Elme.S - Lowest-cost support (and bot?) in the game. Ridiculously tiny. Arms are meh, she has the capacity to handle Winbell arms with additional weaponry, which combined with her HD can make you a chibi-sized death machine. Has plenty of mobility carts, but lacks the typical support carts. Poor stats across the board, however.

A.Maid - As far as cores go, quite similar to Elme. Slightly more cost with more capacity, and has supporting carts such as Broad Radar and Wonder Rate Up instead of mobility carts. Has much higher core tec as well, though the other stats remain lackluster.

Tarantulic - Another low-cost support. Has internal webs with long-lasting slow effect.

Things to add:
-Where to find specific bots
-Bot type/size
-More in-depth performance analysis
-Battle viable, or just for looks?

Or as a Pterano. Just thinking about all the wasted potential ruins my day. :c

Unless you meant "make a guide for the parts themselves", in which case:
