Ouka Dayu?

I just got an ouka dayu in garapon together with winbyrel ellen and shino exroad beta.. I've been just wondering if its worth leveling it because from what I could read from here in forums they say that dayu sucks.. and if it would be worth leveling what are the good cartridges for her?

Yeah, she's not all that great. I got her to 5 the 2nd day I got her and haven't used her since.

Makes me sad they didn't just keep her as Ouka's "promotion," so it would be your choice to get her or not. Now it just trolls you in the Ouka Gara, knowing you can get Dayu instead of the superior original.

so i'd rather work on winberyl ellen and the shino exroad you mean?

vesca is superior to ellen for the way the bind shoots and shino has always been a great ranged L lnd

I never really understood what's so much worse about Dayu than Ouka, as I've never gotten a Dayu and don't plan to roll the Ouka garapon ever again now that I have my Lightning Gun Thoarla.

I figured the loss of Ouka Raisen was a fair trade for having an open hand to equip a weapon...

Ellen is fine... Just remember, her "Thorn Shield" is not a shield and doesn't block projectiles at all. I see way too many Ellen players standing out in the open spamming the thorns like it's going to protect them from my rifle... It's sad.

She still has Ouka Raisen. As a matter of fact, it's easier to use do to the fact that it's a direct subweapon, and you don't have to go through the core sheathing if you want to use it. Still rather impractical.

Her range attack is alright, but I find the regular Ouka's sword beam is much better, and (surprisingly) more accurate. And don't even get me started on the combo. Oh Lord, the combo. Not only is each hit weaker, but it hits less times, and regardless of the number of hits she'll jump back and shoot a blast from her umbrella (which, at least for me, usually misses). It leaves you open, and gives your opponent more leeway to make a getaway to their teammates. Good luck trying to follow him with that combo.

Really the only area Dayu>Ouka is her jump attack, because she can chase AIRs.

Dayu actually still has Ouka Raisen.
What inferior is the weapon, Ouka with hatred still in her katana has better weapon overall than the parasol. She also has shield on her left hand's shoulder, although not able to wield anything on it.
Dayu, on the other hand. Has petal shot which has longer range and more rapid than Ouka's slash, albeit lower damage. But that's not enough to make Dayu the same tier as original Ouka.

Raisen is impractical

Her melee is pretty horrible compared to Ouka. Ouka has a wide and long range with her attacks while Dayu basically has a long sword

Her ranged weapon, which was suppose to be her trump card, has bullets so small that it barely hits anything. Add in the fact that it's pretty darn weak too with its 12 force. The bullet's speed was also slower than the normal bazooka at 220 also contributed to the fact of it not hitting anything. Even if it had a fast firing rate, a small bullet plus slow speed isn't just going to hit anything that's moving unless you shotgun them point black or they're some fat art. That rapid fire was more or less another thing that made it worse. At best you were only able to hit L sized bots easily and most L type bots have a lot of TGH. If I remember right my Dayu during OBT with 40 tec barely hit for 20 damage on the first shot and the damage just plummeted from there due to scaling.

Basically Dayu = nerfed Ouka for the sake of making a very impractical move (raisen) easier to use.

so is it fine to level her? I rarely see a dayu in the arena but when there is one she is less annoying than the ouka normal..

i saw a dayu with a kamui staff on arena and she just move so good.. is she doesn't do decent damage in arena even if she is equipped with other weapon besides her basics? or jikuns are better?

i use dayu and always get top 10 ._. , then again i only play under rated bots

im not a pro , im just a casual player that know the basics , go back to playing hoppers sir(also imb4 "i dont play hoppers" you should start using then since you cant use low tier bots)
