How does Crimson Veil works on this game?

I'm seeing a lot of instances where being an art gives me C.veil when being stun locked and having that revenge tunes are not yet available, can someone help me shed light in the current mechanics of C.veil? I'm just curious since I don't see this on the old CB or maybe I already quit the game by the time this mechanic was implemented years ago b4 universal and the shutdown.

wow! I haven't noticed that you can get cv after getting stunlocked. There wasn't anything like that in cb. But they've nerfed the stun lock mechanic in CBU. I think it automatically releases you after getting a couple of hit.
