CBEN is shutting down.. so, where are you going?

Well, it was inevitable.. with less than 100 logged in on most days.. and most of those people being newbies that aren't yet charging.. and a shit company running it all into the ground while ignoring the wishes of the player base.

I can't think of any other games that have such a wide variety of customization, or even any decent ones that allow you to have custom paint schemes.

The only mecha games that are out there pretty much suck ass. Mechwarrior Online is run by a shit company.. Mechwarrior Tactics is run by a shit company.. Mechwarrior 4 was abandoned by Mektek.. and everyone says that Hawken is boring as fuck.

I don't really feel like giving my life away to another MMORPG. The endgame always involves forming into huge clans and standing around some super-rare spawn point and competing for the monster so that you have a "chance" at a drop that will only go to one of your clan mates.. if you even get the spawn.. not to mention all that grinding for hours, fighting the same monster over and over.

I'm considering joining CB-INDO just for shits and giggles.. to ruin their game and chase off new players like they did to our version.. but, I don't want to seriously play another CB game. Losing over two years of progress is gay.

Kongregate / Armor Games / Newgrounds (Flash and Unity games) are a way to pass the time.. but they mostly suck. They do have a few games with high production values, but those games are usually pay to win games run by large, greedy companies.. (and, who the fuck is going to pay to win in a Flash game?)

MMOBomb has a giveaway section, where a lot of new or failing games are giving away P2W items to try to recruit more suckers players. I haven't yet seen anything in the list that actually looked "good," but it's something to keep an eye on.

I guess I'll be playing offline games for a while.. possibly a long time. I still have to play Oblivion all the way through.. and there are tons of mods for that. I downloaded Fallout: New Vegas and have yet to even play more than 30 seconds. Dominions 4 is a decent turn based strategy game that will suck away 20 hours or more per game.. (although, the company is greedy as shit and wants a premium price for an indy game.. you can find it through "other" methods.) I still never finished all of the Mechcommander: Omnitech campaigns that are available for download. Silent Storm has been sitting on my HDD for over a year.. with only the first two maps finished.. and I downloaded some weird Russian game, Night Watch, and only got to the third mission before I moved on to other things. Playstation 1 and N64 games are also sitting on my secondary HDD, gathering virtual dust. I don't even remember what I have waiting, other than the N64 sequel to Tactics Ogre.

So, what games do y'all plan to move to once CBEN closes its doors?

I was highly doubtful when Winty posted about it.. because he tends to be rather playful and trite.. but, when Kobers backed it up, I took the news for cereal.

The game has been sparsely populated, recently.. and it's always nice to have a backup plan.. (and I'm the type of person that always assumes the worst case scenario is going to imminently play out.)

Some user here posted this as a faster way to download CB INDO. (Their net sucks ass.. which explains why they lag like hell in our version.. and downloading from the main website takes, at least, 3x the time that it takes to get from Mediafire.)

I still consider this as bullshit. CS has made an increasing amount of profit these past years. I doubt they're shutting down. Even after hearing this plenty are still charging.

As for the question, probably whatever I'm playing right now. Osu!, Skyrim, Pixelmon. Whatever I feel like I suppose. I still have Oblivion waiting for a couple more play throughs and I'm still waiting for Starbound and Morrowind to get a 75% off.

Considering everything that's been said and revealed, i'll only post my thoughts about the game once the official announcement shows up. The only thing that made me change was delaying the 550 rt charge until the very last week, as this gara did caught up my curiosity.

As for my next games, should the end of CBEN arrives, i'll be focusing on Blizzard games, mostly. Warlords for casual play; will be playing Hearthstone A HELL OF A LOT, so any others who will be creating accounts to casually play there are free to send me a PM, and i'll gladly help with chat, duels, and a tip or two for each deck. Will stay play LoL, though only bot games (my experience makes me quake everytime i consider going against other players on my own).

Also, i'll be "baking" an official farewell on these forums, as well as doing a few secret operations behind the scene.

When it does die, I probably won't really move anywhere. I can't really play MMO/online games as much as I did with CB, so I will just casually go around, and play offline games mostly.
Will probably be bored and won't really have much contact with anyone online since this forum will pretty much die, and I decided to leave the other forum that I used to frequent since the community is small and regulars tend to circlejerk anyone that doesn't agree with them (while not breaking any rules, but fuck rules, most are mods anyway). Joining a new community isn't really something that I want anyway.
