Assistance with Saggitary Maxis II Empty
PostSubject: Assistance with Saggitary Maxis II   Assistance with Saggitary Maxis II EmptyMon Aug 26, 2013 1:34 pm

Okay, recently I've been working with my new Saggitary Maxis II, which I got from the Facebook Like Drive cubes. I find this robot interesting due to the neat 4-shot burst Railgun and how I heard that Maxis is a nice Railgun Sniper. However, it bugs me how he only has 1 arm, and I also don't know what would be a good build for this robot. I am trying to design a good build for Maxis II, but I need some help.

I do know some essential things to consider about Saggitary Maxis II
-Since this one only has 1 arm, this isn't a robot to load up with lots of weapons, though it would be good to have at least 1 good backup weapon there.
-Enhance Internal Weapon Level-ups are a must for Maxis II.
-Maxis II is better with high WLK than FLY, due to the Railgun being harder to aim while flying, and how if you run backwards and fire the Railgun, the blowback from it can help you escape faster if you need. (I really like this part)
-Maxis II has semi-decent Capacity.

Here's my current build for Saggitary Maxis II, though I am sure it could use some serious work. I haven't tuned anything up on it, since I want to have good parts first and I don't change parts that I've already tuned up, due to that meaning all of my hard work going to waste. Also, it's still a work in progress and is only LVL3. Oh, and since mine was from the Facebook Like Drive cubes, the parts are 3-slotted too! I'm willing to hear out any good ideas for Maxis II.

please do not post your current build. Plan out a build with what you want and other people can offer suggestions to improve it or alternatives. We can all look up what the base stats are, you don't need to provide us with that information.

His railgun should be able to hit anything within the missile launcher range, but none is very good at closer ranges, which zookas usually cover.

Would a Volcano Splash work for that too? I happen to have one and I think it might be useful here.

I'd really recommend a bazooka of some sort. If you play this often, you're eventually going to have a Seraph or an Eve flying circles above your head. A bazooka fires in (more or less) straight lines and makes it easier to hit things with. Grenades fly in weird arcs and require skill and luck to nail air units.

You would probably get better build advice if you told us what you are capable of building. Do you have slot protectors and harmonics to make a regular build, or are you planning on doing 100% +1 tunes? Are all your parts 3s? Are you dead set on using the parts you have equipped, or do you have other 3s parts to use? Have you considered Broad Radar as a cartridge? (IMO, it really helps on Saggies.)

I mentioned in the 1st post that all of my Saggitary Maxis parts are 3slot, and if I have to, I'll use some Non-100% High or Great tune-ups. And yes, Broad Radar is certainly part of the plan.

If you can fit it, Large Zook is a nice bet, maybe Blast Zook too if you have it.

Not really sure.

All maxis variants have delicious capa, if he wants a good weapon (in terms of rt) he can use a bulk blast or a scram launcher mod. If he wants a good UC weapon, ballistic launcher maxis or large bazooka (solo already said it).

You should try to get his tec and wlk to at least 30+ each. If you plan on aiming his railgun, wlk is better, since flying aims your railgun downward.

Homing weapons such as Scram Mod and Ballista seem rather unsuited for short range defense though

scram mods tend to hit at close range, ballista dont though.
