Budget Gaming Rig Empty
PostSubject: Budget Gaming Rig   Budget Gaming Rig EmptySun Dec 23, 2012 12:11 am

Hi, I need halp.

I want to play:
-Dota 2
-LoL
-CB (I guess)
-WoW (I'd try it)
- other HD games

Why I posted this:
My knowledge of actual PC's in general not even gaming PC's is minimalistic or next to none at all,
I need halp. Deciding if this build (if you have another budgeted build please suggest preferably under 500-600 dollars please) so far this is my second build because my first one wasn't compatible with the parts of originally had going.

Kit base

GFX card

If you could offer me some advise as to where this build is going/should be going or any of the latter, please please please let me know. Thank you

PostSubject: Re: Budget Gaming Rig   Budget Gaming Rig EmptySun Dec 23, 2012 11:14 am

I would at least build something like:
- i3-3220
- 8gb ram 1600 (2x4gb)
- 500-600W power supply
- Compatible motherboard socket 1155
- GTX 650
- Random tower case
- Random SSD with the best 4k read you can afford.

Recently build something the like and it works wonder for games. Upgrade what you want if you have some spare money. (I would go for a i5 and a second hard drive for data 1Tb+)
And sorry, I ONLY use Intel and GeForce.

Hold on ill give u a simple one from scratch.

A geforce 650 ti or 550 ti get which ever is cheapest if u can afford to get a 2 gig 650http://www.amazon.com/Intel-i3-560-Processor-Socket-LGA1156/dp/B0041IO6PM/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1356426449&sr=8-9&keywords=intel+core+i3 ti or a 560 ti

4 gigabyte ddr3 ram if u can afford it get 6 gigs.

Grt this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811144219

Updateing the list as I find the parts.

Get this 500 gb hard drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136769

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-SUPERCLOCKED-Graphics-02G-P4-2653-KR/dp/B00966IU9W/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1356425877&sr=8-13&keywords=geforce+550+ti

Get this psu http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-eXtreme-Supply-RS500-PCARD3-US/dp/B001G0WPLK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356426195&sr=8-1&keywords=500+watt+psu

Get this processor
http://www.amazon.com/Intel-i3-2120-Dual-Core-Processor-Cache/dp/B004KZDV8E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356427042&sr=8-1&keywords=intel+core+i3

Get this motherboard http://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-GA-H61M-DS2-Intel-Micro-Motherboard/dp/B005PX3UYA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1356427399&sr=8-3&keywords=lga+1155+motherboard
now all u need is wineindows 8 kr 7 and ddr3 ram that should be easy to get and just another 150 to 200 bucks max u should have a dvd drive from the computer your useing now unless it iz a laptop.

For a budget gaming rig, this is what I would go for the following specs

CPU - Pentium 2.6GHz.
Motherboard - A cheap reliable one that is compatible with LGA1155
RAM - 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
Chassis - A decent quality case that comes with a 500W power supply.
Graphics Card- A graphics card that costs around $150 - $250
Storage - 500GB hard drive

And there you go and suggest a 3120 CPU over a 3220 when they are the same price or so but the 3220 is far better.
And a 650 ti is too much when a 650 is way enough.

There's also very few 6gb packs and they are for triple channels motherboard and yours is a dual channels. Also 8gb kits are way cheaper now.

And people should look more into SSDs, they are way facking faster, they make the difference between a 2010 PC and a 2012 one.

One a ssd is another 80 bucks she does have and that's at the lowest for a small ssd for the os and 2 games. 2 u can get great perfomqnce put a system if u can get enough ram to make the page file superlow and barely be used. 3 the extra 30 bucls for the 650 ti is more than worth it the 650 sucks and will go outdated fast.

1. If he already has a hard drive, a small SSD even 128gb is enough for OS and games.
2. What the fuck are you saying, I didn't understand shit.
3. 650 or 650 ti, they will get outdated at the same time anyway and the 650 is enough for all the games he said and more. The 30 bucks difference can go into a SSD in my opinion. I updated my PC with a SSD and it was the best upgrade it received. And the last PC I build has a SSD too and it is uber fast. I won't ever build a PC without a primary SSD, else it's like building a outdated build right away.

The 650 can not run crysis 2 on max at even 1600x900 res the 2gb 560 ti 560ti au 550 ti over clocked or the 2 gig version can. U dont just build a system based off a few games u play u build it to at the least run em on max. Hmm tho that 650 tiI posted isn't sli my card is sli so when I need to upgrade my gpu I can just get a 2nd card.

Crysis is very hungry on games anyway, but hey, over a 650ti, he could wait for the next generation 7xx coming in 1-3 months, prices will obviously drop for old generations (a 660 might be a good option) or even the new 750 by then.

Anyway, just go and shovel the snow of a few people near you and get yourself some more money for a real card 8D

670+ or gtfo.

A 560 ti can still run any game on max and still have resources left, Sli and they will last a wile.

As long as it runs games and has an acceptable performance it's fine.

No need to argue over which parts to use.

Games tend to use the GPU a lot more than the CPU so investing in a more powerful Graphics card is a much better option.

Usually 4GB is all you really need to play most games but RAM is dirt cheap these days so you can afford to splurge a bit.

Installing the OS and games on a SSD and all your files onto a much higher capacity HDD makes your computer run much faster, so if this can fit your budget, go for it.

PostSubject: Re: Budget Gaming Rig   Budget Gaming Rig EmptyTue Dec 25, 2012 5:08 pm

So, before I do go through all the posts. My fourth build (if this doesn't work I'm just going to go with a suggested build.)

But I do believe these items fit my needs, it's just the comparability with each other that I'm concerned about, like of I order it and it doesn't even go together. So please take a look and share your thoughts

Build 4

http://m.newegg.com/Product?itemNumber=N82E16822148840

http://m.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7544712&Sku=B69-0695

XFX Double D FX-785A-CDFC Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150609

I will be having to find another Card it seems as well, if anyone can link mento sites or suggest a card that'd be nice. I can't seem to find performance charts for decent cards. They're usually covering only a small variety of certain ones not an overall spectrum.

Just go threw the sites I listed I posted all the major parts with links to the site u can buy them from. And why not tell us if u own a laptop ir desktop already and what are its spec ugh its like this forum majes people dumber.

And for 2 u do know u have to buy wibucks 8 or7 and that's gona cost you another 150 bucks.

Stop posting barebones systems they cost more and you have to build them yourself still. Most ati cards are to big for micro atx systems especially ones were the sata port is in the front.

Just follow the part for part guide I posted but get the cpu mikuri posted you keep over paying and over budgeting a lot.

I have someone who has a copy of Win 7 but I have an office refurbished PC. With 80 Gigs of memory. My current card is an over locked (I forgot most of the specs) MSI Afterburner i550? It's really small and has a cheap built in fan. It's okay. I get 60 FPS out of non 3D games like LoL. But it hits 21-35 on others. I need something I could actually invest long term in, (keep adding parts) because I want to start streaming for a friends channel.

Any under 700 dollar rig is going to you to get 4-6 gigs of ddr3 ram, and a nvidia 550 ti or 650 ti or 560 ti some one like you who has never so much as put a ram stick in a fucking computer should be questioning me just cause they don't like me fucking cunt.

If u can give us your full system specs so we know what u need if your friend has a win 7 install we can scale up to a SSD like mikuri said and probly scale up to a intel i5 and a better case. The not having to buy a os saves a lot in the budget. Not having to buy a dvd drive also saves a little.

Mikuri how do u not know what page fileing is its were windows puts the ram not in use virtual ram. Some one with 16 gigs or more ram can turn this off and grt a HUGE PERFORMANCE BOOST.Some people even turn it off with 8 gigs I wouldn't tho id only turn it of with 16 due to how much ram todays games can use and thing like adobe after effects.

LMFAO ITS A FUCKING LIW END EMACHINES.2nd tis noob thinks the weak ass 250 watt psu that came with that thing is gonna support his asus gpu. 3rd the cpu is going to get bottle necked by having a weak cpu. That doesent even take computer knowledge that's just common since like why u would put a v6 in a ford taurus none of the other parts would support it and the car wpuld just break down.

Nice job malphes u proved how fucking stupid u are.

Oh god He is being more stupid he is asking for her to use specy when she wants a new board and case.

Wait he has to use a program to know his motherboard stats I knew the motherboard in a system bwfore I bought it wven when I was buying prebuilts years ago. I knew to do this shit since 13 so you don't have a age exxuse noobs gona noob. I can't stop laughing he reached a new level in STUPID.

And your hard drive is 320 gigs formatted there is no sucha thing as a 313 gb hard drive the more I read it the more stupid I find.

Me and mikuri just have didd views on how to build a budget system and I missed a better cpu in the same price range you you are just retarded. As I said you don't know how to build a rig nor that much about computers so you should not be commenting.

Learn to read. Since you're fucking stupid, let me spell it out for you. That's a 500 watt power supply, says it right there in the url. Nearly double the standard PSU.

You don't even know what CPU he has. Stop assuming shit. He might have a decent cpu already.

This is coming from someone whose part list conflicted with itself.

She might not need new everything. Chances are the mobo will do just fine. New case? There's more chance of hell freezing over than you needing a new case. I'm using a fucking emachines case and I run shit just fine.

I used speccy to have all of that information in an easy to read format. Clearly, it wasn't enough for you as you are blatantly fucking illiterate.

There is literally shit-all you can do for electriq. Your initial part list was even fucked up. Leave the thread. Let the professionals get to work.

She has a 80 gig hard drive with xp on it how strong do you think her system could be.

I will say sorry I died from laughter when I saw emachines your rigs not half as bad as I wrote it out to be actually its pretty similar to the one nvidia posted in there how to build a cheap crysis two gaming rig if you woulda waited a few mnths you coulda got a stronger gpu.

How does a socket lga 1155 motherboard and socket 1155 i3cpu a nvidia2 gb 650 ti a decent mid tower and a 500 wat psu and 500 gigabte hard drive not match.

And no u posted a big ass bearly able to see pic and then posted specs in a long ass list no one will fully read threw and gas a chance to end up misting stuff.

I want pics I don't believe you have that stuff in there.
