I wouldn't really use a gatling on an alpha.
At all.
I'd suggest like using a wide beam gun or beam gun. They work fine.
I have no idea how tentrion head would work for you, but that's a UC alternative to a Raystag head (albeit nowhere near having the same potential).
I'd also prioritize getting better alpha arms fairly quickly. Greinaut arms make you incredibly large for an alpha which can be a hassle.
You could use float dash -> Beezle LG for a "gimp STOVL," as it can propel you fairly nicely into the air. Also, if you're relatively near an enemy air, you can use the stinger to raise above their altitude.
I'd personally drop guard carts in place for more capa/more useful carts.
EIW isn't necessary on Air Raider.
