Most of the prominent bots in JP's >4 br room are mecha melee. Axer, Fencer, Beet HD, Scythebunker, Sol Volca/Zero Breaker Dae AM2, Suzeku...I'm sure I'm missing a few, but they have no problems doing well.

Erm, by bots, I meant both mecha and moe. Just anyone that can melee well.-.

That was in response to "mecha melee is dead", not the initial topic, which I already replied to earlier in the thread.

Playing with guys whose latency is <80 ms (or even way less) is a whole world of difference.

Hey Suguri, by scythebunker do you mean byne am+reaper scythe?Does that even work?
Oh, and Solo, for the topic, the best shop melee(non-garapon)is probly the scythe.It works well with a squealer punch and a byne am,but its pretty slow(though its hella powerful when used right).

Take this with a pinch of salt, but in the below 3 BR rooms i did well with a squealer punch,scythe,and hound dog extreme lg(byne am is a good substitute i think)

you could gamewarrior with two untuned handyzook frogs in sub-3br rooms (or at least i wouldn't be surprised if that happened), i doubt they're a good measure of actual effectiveness in regular arena

(but then again frogs are hilariously low cost)

Actually, Sugu's mention of "Scythebunkers" is Ominous Scythe -> Geograsis AM3 Pilebunker. Which is full-gara, still. Usually opened with some manner of aerial step (Sol Volca BS, Zero Breaker BD, Ritter BS).
