| I get either of two errors when trying to update. "Could not connect to server" type message or a pop-up message that says that I failed to update.
Is there a fix for this?
I also noticed that I makes some progress before getting the error. Would it be possible to complete the update by constantly opening and closing the client?

| @Sakurakouji Here is some solution: 1. Close all web browser. Like Mozilla FireFox , Google Chrome , Internet Explorer , Opera and etc. 2. Don't download/upload anything. 3. Close off all MSN messenger , Yahoo messenger , Gmail messenger , AIM messenger , SKYPE and etc... All these messenger might slow down your connection speed (and make you unable connect to CB) So log out and close off all these messenger first before try to lauching/updating CB. - Sakurakouji wrote:

Yup , just close it and re-open again. CBEN website doesn't have manual patch.

| My ISP had severe trouble with the DNS server, whoch resulted in the same problem. If it is that. you can't do much except nagging your ISP to fix this fast.
It sounds more like your connection was a little slow. If that is the case, just follow samuel's advice. Close all unnecessary programs that use your connection and update.
We need a manual patch. | |

| Well, I'll have to try and bug my ISP then.
I really don't feel like my connection itself is the problem. I've never had issues with downloading/patching/updating/playing on any other game before.
I am grateful to have received any bit of help, but am sad to say that the solution didn't help.
I guess I'll just have to keep opening and closing the client until it finishes eventually.

| Use OpenDNS for that fix(if it's really DNS fault). | |

If you did something to the host files because of CS' fuck ups before, just remove the entry, works fine afterwards
