What is it?
tl;dr localStorage is a new way for web pages to store data locally on the client's browser, just like cookies.
The difference is that cookies offer us only about 4kb of data, while localStorage gives us a whopping 5mb. approx.
Every modern browser supports this, so do not worry unless you are using IE7-tier browsers. (Please go die if you do.)
Then what's next?
Right now, only the offline versions (the zip archives) have this implemented. If you want to try/test, just download them.
For full-time offline users, congratulations, you are the beta testers. 21/05/14: This goes live.
The first time you open CosmiCalc, it will ask you if you would like to import your builds from cookies.
When you press "OK", your cookies will be cleared. (If you are scared of losing your builds, back them up first.)
There are no changes from the old system otherwise. You can save/load/delete builds like how you normally do.
Getting your builds without CosmiCalc
Yes, we used to go into the options and click something like "Show all cookies" button.
This time there is no easy approach for ordinary users.
The offline version doesn't work on Chrome though, this will be a guide for further releases.
I will list the steps here, ask me if you are confused on any of them.
1. Open your browser's console.
- Firefox: Tools > Web Developer > Web Console or press Ctrl+Shift+K
- Chrome: Tools > Developer Tools or press Ctrl+Shift+I, then make sure you are on the Console tab
2. Type this in:

Copy build: http://puu.sh/gFJGo.png (that was the first I saw in the forum.)
Paste it on the input section: http://puu.sh/gFJIK.png (can copy the name and mats too, but the mats isn't needed.)
Click Read and bam: http://puu.sh/gFJKr.png (I accidentally didn't copy the name.)
It works! And it save us a million years worth of time when trying to help someone.
Older builds might not work because they don't have the "tags" that say where each part go.
Example
Old build: Chloe LG [High Tech Beta] [High Tech Beta]
Recent build: LG: A.L.E. LazFlamme LG
Note that it has that "LG:" before the part name, and also has that "tag" for other parts, except with the part slot name instead, AM, WP, HD, BS, ect.
