| Different Force have different TEC breakpoint, I don't know the exactly formula to how that's calculated, but just look at cosmicalc if you need to see what are the breakpoints for specific weapons. | |

Tune for mobility and then whatever you have left to put into TEC to hit a breakpoint for your weapon is the best. TEC doesn't affect damage as much as STR, so don't sacrifice mobility for a bunch of points in TEC to affect your damage by one point. | |

Breakpoints will change the instant tgh becomes a factor - as well as other various damage multipliers from type weaknesses, back/side attacks, etc - so rapid-fire weapons such as eight vulcan and double beam machinegun will benefit from tec in general, regardless of whether or not a breakpoint is being reached. | |
