Comprehensive diagnosis thread. Please flip through this thread to see if your problem(s) have been addressed before.

What You Should Know First
1. This is not the official forums. Reporting bugs, filing complaints, and anything that you think a GM needs to help you with do not go here, we can't help you.
2. This is not Guides. Really. All your build-related questions go here.

Problems Updating
Repatching
1. Go to your CosmicBreak directory, default location at C:\CyberStep\CosmicBreak_eng\
2. From there, go into update\dists\META-INF\ You will find a file named ARCHIVE_VERSION.MF. Delete it.
3. Run your CosmicBreak patcher again. It should update completely.

Manual update
1. Download the file located here (tentative placeholder, I haven't uploaded anything yet, will upload when it is needed).
2. Place the file in C:\CyberStep\CosmicBreak_eng\update\dists\META-INF\
3. Run your CosmicBreak patcher. It should run as if it is updated.

Problems Logging In
Server-related
Commonly, problems logging in are due to a fault of the game. Wait at least 24 hours and try again. If the problem persists, post then.

Internet-related
Not too rarely does your connection cause problems with log-in. A simple reset by unplugging both your modem and router, waiting at least a minute, then replugging may be able to fix it.

Problems Creating Accounts
By far one of the more abundant problems. Unfortunately, no proper method to fix these problems have surfaced.

Browser-related
You can try changing browsers to see if it works. Firefox is your most probable choice.

Proxy creation
You could have the option of trusting a friend of yours or me to create the account for you. This game has very little cons to sharing accounts outside of an account sweep, which should not matter when you just started. If it means anything, I created two accounts for two people already. Never logged in to either. I don't even remember the passwords I put.
I have left, so find a friend to create an account for you.

Please only post here if you have something useful to add so that I may note it. Do not post here for your tech support, make a new thread.

all seems in order, except that i can't really approve of you making accounts for people, as this can involve giving out personal information, remove that part and i'll consider stickying this

Account creation requires:
A username (can be provided)
A password (temporaries can be provided)
A DOB (usually randomed)
An e-mail (usually created)
No personal information. I've given people the option of providing their own or me creating one on the spot and allowing them to change it later. The e-mail isn't even a required thing, I have yet to actually find a use for e-mails in CosmicBreak. Newsletters are non-existent, account information changes NEVER get sent to your e-mail, no account creation confirmation is required either. In essence, I can put 1234abcd@fakeemails.com and it will accept it.

if i do sticky this you know it will be locked, make sure everything is in order before i do this, also all messages after the first will be deleted

I don't understand why a thread is automatically locked when stickied when there's at least two stickies with no locks around the fanforums.

they aren't automatically locked, the person who stickys them locks them, in the case of something like this it doesn't need replys, so therefor it will be locked this shouldn't be too hard to understand

I don't need it locked. Not only does it restrict people's abilities to contribute, as I am quite sure I don't have all the solutions to technical problems yet, it stops me from updating the thread as I please. If you bothered to note, I have yet to upload the manual patch. In addition, I've yet to properly address many other issues, including stage editor problems that people seem to find and others.
