| Hopefully, someone could give me an answer.
So, here's the story: My laptop died on me a few days ago, so I got myself a new rig, a desktop this time. So after downloading some essential programs, I decided to re-download CosmicBreak from the main site and re-install it from scratch.
Updating was fine, even if it did disconnect a lot of times. I did know how shitty CS servers are. So, the update completed, I got into the game fine and well until I hit the log-in screen, where it promptly ignores whatever attempt I do in pressing the 'Login' button. I didn't have this problem on my laptop, where I'm using Windows XP SP3. Right now, I'm using Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit. Now, unlike most similar problems, my client does not boot me out with any error message or forcibly close, but instead, the log-in button becomes clickable once again, only to end up with the same results.
So, here's what I did, all ending in failures, in no particular order.
- Running in Safe Mode. - Placing CosmicBreak_eng in the list of Firewall exception, both in Private and Public. - Running in compatibility using Windows XP SP3 - Running the program as administrator - Turning off my anti-virus.
So, any solutions? | |

| I'm led to believe this is an internet/router related problem more than your computer or Cyberstep servers. The fact that you had intermittent disconnections during updating leads me to believe so.
While I don't doubt that you are indeed here and posting now, on the internet, I want to say try to give your internet a quick reboot by unplugging your modem/router for a few minutes and replugging to see if CosmicBreak runs then. If not, get back to me, I'll try to think of something else.

Add cosmic.exe also since it's the REAL client and Cosmicbreak_eng.exe is only an updater.

| @Nihil Just done restarting. I also ran a manual ping test on command prompt and it showed no request ping timeouts so I don't think I have intermittent internet at the moment.
And, well, as you might have guessed, problem still here.
Also, concerning router settings, I haven't changed anything with it ever since I've been using it with my laptop.
@Aria cosmic.exe somehow renames itself to CosmicBreak_eng when I add it on the list.

| Just wondering are you able to click other buttons and only the login button won't work or does nothing work? | |

| @Nihil Nothing works after I click the 'Login' button. It does become accessible after a while, along with the rest of the buttons but will end with the same results. Occasionally, the error message, 'Multiple Logins Detected' will appears.
@Aria I'll try to do that later or tomorrow; can't right now, have to leave soon.

- Hello everyone.
We've recently had some trouble which may have caused some users to be unable to download the installer and/or latest patch. This should be fixed now. If you have been having any trouble downloading, updating, or logging into CosmicBreak over the last few days, please try again now. If you still have trouble, please try uninstalling and reinstalling from scratch.
Thank you all for your patience! Posted today, 4 hours ago. So... No, it's not you. It's just their server problem.

| @Senhime Doubt it. A friend of mine can't see me logging in on his chat log.
@priskern Just tried logging in now. No dice. I'll try reinstalling in a later date.
EDIT: Got to log-in now. Don't request for lock yet; I'm going to check if everything's peachy now and I have no troubles logging in and out.

| Nothing. Seems like the problem really is server side. I can log in with ease now (and I hope no recurrences occur). Thanks a lot to everyone who took the time in answering here. | |
