Fraps, though I do suffer a bit of graphical lag whilst recording.

I hear a program called Dxtory is much better, so I'll record episode -02 using that and see how it goes.

Anyway, now that it's actually live, I might consider paying for it...wasn't gonna bother with a pay to beta, awesome or not!

I've seen vids of it, but is it REALLY that good? I mean, I love to explore and create my own little world as much as the next guy, but it looks like a LOT of work is involved!

I would play this, but since I'd have to buy it's it's a bit of a no-no to my parents.

I got it during the beta.
I'm kinda disappointed with Minecraft 1.0. They need to do moar work.

Well anyway, I found a Skeleton Dungeon on top of another Skeleton Dungeon at x:-1416 z:560.
The seed is "Revenge".

@ Mike: Pretty much it boils down to having played it to know how addicting it is. I've heard many people giving the statement of "It's just placing blocks, how can that be fun?" only to have it grow on them and turn them into addicts.

I dunno, I rather think they did too much work hyping up the release for MineCon too fast. Aside from a few visible bugs (I'm looking at you, double doors), some of the things are kinda unnecessary imo.

Take "The End." Other than it being yet another realm with an omfg huge and difficult-to-kill dragon, what's the point? Even the Nether when it first released holds much more purpose than this fairly recent addition, what with glowstone and the 1:8 space conversion.

Oh well though. Long as Mojang irons out said bugs they'll be alright.

Yea, those double doors are a bit funky now but other than that I haven't seen anything wrong. I have to give them props on making it less Java heavy. Here's how it was for me...

B1.7.3 - able to run 64x with a little lag (no Optifine)
B1.8.1 - couldn't even play 32x with Optifine
1.0 - able to run 128x with a little lag (no Optifine)

So seeing that drastic improvement made me really happy. Playing with a 128x texture pack is just so beautiful. Right now I'm using "Sphax PureBDCraft". (Go ahead, click it.) It's done with vectors and gives a cartoon feel to the game. (There is also lower resolutions of the pack if you like it but can't run a high texture pack)

You wouldn't pay for the beta, you would be paying for the full game. :/

Basically, buying before the release = play before the release and get the full game at a cheaper price because you already bought it when you payed for the beta.
People didn't pay for the beta and payed again for the full release. XD

I got mine on alpha I think (and didn't pay, a guy bought it for me), so when they released 1.0, I just updated it just like how I did before.

Actually, playing before the 1.0 was pretty cool since it had certain bugs/mechanics.
Like how water pushed the minecarts and you could use that to make a fully automatic subway/etc that would let you get in the minecart without running after it.

Apparently Minecraft 1.0 is out (basically you can buy it, etc). If you are interested maybe you should see this video:

That video has some nice points.
Of course, I still enjoy the game. So yeah.

Ok, If we're going to start a Minecraft Server I'll need to find some good VPN hosting services for cheap, and people to donate money to run the server.

And I nominate Dicks for Server_Admin because he's cool.

I would suggest using Bukkit or Canary for your server. Then get plugins that will people from griefing other people's buildings.
