I have a lilly rain. So what now?

I like the fact that Lilly can fly at a moderate speed to harass flyers but I'm not sure if she is goos for longer of mid range.

If you wanna know what to put on her.
Bazookas on Lily Rain are always nice to put on (typically Handy or Micro).
Railguns work for ranged sniping.
Grenades are hard to use but I guess they'd work.
Float Dash is recommened for her along with Quick Boost.
Breakers would work if you're a good shot with them.
LazFlamme LG adds an extra booster slot.
Beam Rifles can work for countering LNDs.
There's a lot of stuff you can put on her really. :/
Ask someone like sugu if you wanna know more.

I'm looking for a more anti air build.

I have been noticing a higher volume of terrifyingly mobile air units.

Use bazookas or railguns for AA.

Get your FLY high and get float dash o3o

From my experience, the core psyguns with 2x EIWs work well enough for Anti-Air purposes.
Compact Launchers, Bazookas, Breakers (if you're a good shot), and Railguns (at longer ranges) all might help you at Anti-Air purposes.
You probably already know this buuuut... Lily Rain is a FLYER not a WALKER so you DON'T wanna walk much with her, instead use float dash or fly.

You said railguns, you would not mean beam rifles would you? Because I have 10 RT I got for free and CB has not made itself a game I would spend 10 bucks on yet.

No, Railguns have a short charge time, super fast shots, high damage, great range, and bad aiming IF you're flying (float dashing is more of dashing so your aim is ok during one), they're mainly used for sniping things at long ranges.
Beam Rifles on a Lily Rain are more for hitting LNDs that try to hit you.
You'll probably have enough Rt through the rank-ups to get it.

You can't fight them terrifyin' air girls.

Unless you spend a hundred bucks.

The only AIRs I had problems with were AG and alphags, the rest I just psygun spammed. :/

Anti-air Lily =

Get decent/high fly, float dash, (quick boost), (blast gaurd), no internals.

Equip at least 1 blast bazooka, done.

Lily Rain doesn't have moving burst in that build which is probably why he just made it so she turns into an art that plays like an air almost.

Basically his build is like an air with a mini bazooka except now it's an art type.

He's a uc player who just started and probably doesnt have enough cost capa for anything else cause he got internal carts and only 2 cost capa

Lowish cost, blast damage, a burning effect, and you can pitch em.
Though I'd probaly take bazookas over them like most people, hard to it AIRs with really. >.>
And I don't have Moving Burst on my Lily Rain, just both EIWs.

I'm not necessarily new. I played through the Closed Beta and was here during official release. I have player enough free to play games that I know that even with payed currency the average chance of getting lotto items is low.

So I'm sticking to UC and trying to get the most out of my bots using what I can until the game convinces me to buy UC.

Congratulations, you now have one of the few mobile ARTs in the game.

Step 1: PLAY LILY LIKE AN AIR, except she has bigger and more explosive weapons. Although you won't be airborne all the time, you'll spend about 40-75% of your time with Lily airborne.

Step 2: Get a decent bazooka. Mini, Micro and Handy are fairly easy to obtain(Handy's the hardest of the 3, only Lotto Mechled and King Megaton have one and they're unslotted). Blast Bazooka has nearly pure explosion damage, which makes Airbots cry very, very hard but does shit against anything with Blast Guard/not an Air, and it's Garatroll only. I prefer Handy due to the large projectile size and decent blast component. At ~20 TEC, Handy on my Lily does about 45-55 damage to enemy Air, 12+ to anything with Blast Guard, and 25-40 to everything else. Shell Guard decrease vs. Bazooka can be disregarded because no player in their right mind would stick a poor, defenseless bot with Shell Guard.

Step 3: Consider mobility. Most common is Float Dash thanks to Lily's natural FLY. Short Boost works too but will fuck with any Railgun you take. Remember that you'll also be flying a lot due to Lily's FLY, unless you feel like tuning for WLK. If you go for a Railgun-type weapon, also remember that flying around will fuck with your rail's targeting.

Step 4: A Rail Gun is the most common sniper-range weapon seen on Lily due to insane speed and good range. Armor Breaker/Beam Rifle/any other breaker can work if you're poor, but they're generally of lesser quality unless you're a pro sniper.
Most of the time, you'll have to stop and fire if you want any accuracy on your rails, but if you're just that good of a sniper you can shoot on the fly too.

Step 5: Psyguns and Psyslicer are situational weapons. THEY ARE NOT YOUR GO-TO WEAPONS. Psygun is great for hitting fast(read: Shaden BS-type, Seraph Wings-type, STOVL-type, or anything over 35 FLY/WLK speed) targets but the force sucks and so does the base projectile speed(range is decent, so is ammo but you fire four psyshots at a time). It's also a great spam weapon.
Psyslicer is a sniper-range weapon(2x Internal'd, you get 410 range and that doesn't count the part where the slicer homes in on the target) with fairly decent force(17 force after 2 Internals) that can help you strike first on long range maps, an advantage augmented by Lily's decent mobility(sprint in early, piss some people off with Psyslicers to the face, and get the hell out). If you use these a lot, plan on Internaling them. I have 2x Internals for situational use and it does help if you run out of ammo and can't find Shell Supplies, although I'm considering dumping them.
NOTE: On normal Lily Rain, activating Psyslicer will force you to stop all movement while the slicers start spinning, leaving you temporarily helpless. Lily Rain Majalis doesn't have this drawback(and the slicers fire horizontally), and I don't know how Le Reve works. Also, Le Reve's Psyshots explode on impact(dunno about what happens at the end of Psygun range), something Normal Rain and Majalis's don't do.

Step 6: If you're using stock Lily Rain, don't plan on a shitload of tuning. Go for slotted AC parts and slotted weapons. Maximize your stats by using Great tunes. You can also replace a few parts(the BS, for one) to get extra slots. Since the UC/Starter Lily Rain has no slots/few slots if you replaced parts and got slotted ACs, you'll have to pilot your Lily Rain with proportionally better skills if you want to remain competitive in any game mode.
If you have the RT Lily Rain, a Majalis, or a Le Reve, you can tune for higher or maximized stats. Maximize FLY first(based on a Float Dash build), then go for TEC. TGH should always stay above 10, although your tunes shouldn't affect this unless you get a High/Great Capa tune.

Step 7: Don't think about Misside AM for Lily. First off, they're fugly as hell, and that's not good. Second, they're useless against enemy Anti-Homing(read: Seraph Wings, and Seraph Crim is EVERYWHERE), and have shitty ammo capacity(60 ammo, fires two missiles per salvo, equals 30 salvoes/left clicks). The force(16 force) isn't superb for a missile/explosive weapon either. Third, the stats are less decent than your stock Lily Rain AMs, iirc. They're cool if you want more explosions or an AntiAir-except Seraph deterrent, but I don't particularly like them, especially since they're about double the cost of your stock AMs, and you need that capacity. Simply put, imo Misside AMs don't give you enough bang for your buck.

Step 8: Point and laugh at all the crappy-ass Airbots who can't hit your Lily Rain, while she blasts the living fuck out of them Airbots. Make use of your mobility over fatass ARTs and you'll usually come out on top, despite Lily's lack of heavy firepower.

Step 9: Enjoy Lily's nice body. It gets even better if you see an EVE hanging around somewhere.

Just a question, is this Le Reve or just regular plain Lily? Because I read somewhere earlier the OP mentioning the psyguns doing..blast damage..and that's only Le Reve..

For that matter, upping Internal Weaps is a good thing.

I've been hunting down good lily builds for a long time, but this is about as basic (and sadly, as good) as it'll get. Until maybe folded rifle amjs are released.....or better weapons I don't know.

The thing is, you might want to try tuning Lily for 30 FLY;t hat much is possible. 40 TEC though with that 30 FLY just can't work without cap up tunes, many more slots, and without ditching STR (meaning no wonderbit; which is okay for EVE, but not so much as Lily).

Oh yeah, Dual Rifles or Slayer bits (if you enjoy hunting other fat ARTs/hoppers I guess o.O) will work for Lily.

For comparison(note that all these are 0x Internal'd BD weapons):

Lily Rain Internals: Psygun, 5 Force, 620 ammo. Psyslicer, 16 Force, 120 ammo.
5 STR, 11 TEC, 8 WLK, 13 FLY, 11 TGH core BD stats.

Lily Rain Majalis Internals: Weaker Psyslicers(12 Force). Psyguns are equivalent to Normal Rain.
Majalis has +1 STR, +2 TEC, -3 TGH compared to Normal Rain, so...
6 STR, 13 TEC, 8 WLK, 13 FLY, 8 TGH are your base stats.

Lily Rain Le Reve Internals: Psygun, 7 Force, 400 ammo, unique explosive psyshot. Psyslicers are the same as for Majalis(secondary effect unknown, i.e. Normal Rain stops moving during Psyslicer activation but Majalis doesn't).
Le Reve has -1 STR, +2 TEC, +3 WLK, -1 FLY, -3 TGH compared to Normal Rain. -2 STR, +3 WLK compared to Majalis, so...
4 STR, 13 TEC, 11 WLK, 12 FLY, 8 TGH are your base stats.

Off-topic: It'd be funny if they made another Lily Rain version. You know how normal Rain's description says her personality changes in battle due to her "Trance Skirt"? It'd be funny if you could have an alternate Lily Rain that transformed into a raging nutjob that blows bots and stuff to kingdom come, but the drawback was that she couldn't tell the difference between friend and foe(meaning that if she hit any robot with a combo attack or whatever, the bot was dead shit whether it was an ally or enemy and your attacks dealt full damage, and the BP loss counted towards the team of the fucked up robot)? Plus she should have a crazy-ass melee attack on the level of VF, and get a complete reversal of stats(maximize her STR if her normal version had high TEC, max WLK if her FLY was high, etc etc etc.).
Not to mention that you couldn't control this Lily Rain directly, that is if she spots something she wants to fuck up(robot, tree, whatever), she'll do it and the player can't do much to stop her.
