Slash Blade vs Kamui Staff

I don't know if there was any thread discussing this or maybe I'm just to lazy to use the search button. On personal experiences, which weapon would be the better one. I'm having trouble deciding which would be better for my s-sized melee land bots. It seems that Slash Blade works better on an air bot because of the wider shock waves it produces while airborne. Kamui Staff hits hard for me with part cutting power and stun. Kamui Staff has stat reductions and Slash Blade gives +1 fly. I personally don't have any idea which is better anymore.

Slash Blade still fires two waves per slash when grounded too sometimes, it has something to do with lockon.

I definitely say slash blade, it has a lot more range and damage.

Tried them both, favored kamui staff.

In a hectic environment, Kamui is much more forgivable, and its immense range and ease o fuse, as well as combo speed, make it worth its low damage.

The Slash Blade can be a better finisher or damage dealer, but its mostly a hit and run deal, as compared to a Kamui Staff.

I find slash blade works better with melee airs and kamui staff with lands

Kamui is easier to hit moving targets, slash racks up damage with its flying bolts on large, non-moving objects. I think kamui has range on all other melee weps other than domi AM.

to make slash blade attack with 2 waves on the ground, you have to peform a dash and attack while still on the dash animation.

i have kamui, slash and divine blade. kamui is overall best, slash will under peform unless its on air unit and god forgives me, divine blade feels worthless.

No, if you're locked on you'll do two horizontal spins that both fire two waves. Problem is, the lockon is pretty picky it seems, and since it's a melee weapon you obviously can't tell when it's locked until you actually attack.

Random FYI; Boost Run screws up Slash Blade a bit; forward run + slash = The waves go into the ground.

I like slash blade cause it will still hit people who you would have missed otherwise. Kamui does more limb damage and has that nice combo, slash has a bit more versatility and combos well with other weapons.

This is the one thing I hate about it.

If I'm not mistaken, kamui staff has a longer hitbox and can swing through potentially a lot more enemies at once than slash blade.

kamui is better for hardcore melee LNDs since it has some nice chasing movement. especially useful for byne users so that one can close the distance before using the pilebunkers

Is Slash Blade a garapon weapon? If so, which one is it? The Damascus Knife looks similar to it (in terms of the weapon icon), but is completely different.

Yes, the Slash Blade is a garapon weapon. Not sure which garapon it is in though.

Slash Blade is in garapon 1.

You can fire the wider shock waves if you attack using Slash Blade while you are running
