no the anime is a pathetic excuse of an adaption, read the manga.

the battles in the manga were the only good thing about freezing but they totally screwed that up in the anime by focusing too much on ecchi. good story? the first half of this series story was just pathetic and then then its just a RahXephon/Evangelion wannabe.

i bet you only watch this anime for the boobs.

Episode 08 was the worst episode @__@ (they overdid the ecchi but i was not amused).

As for the scantily clad women......yes i love it...yes it makes me like the show more........is it enough to carry the show make me like it by itself = EPIC NO.....think of other fail anime's like that say ummm... Agent Aika or whatever they were called.... cant be bothered thinking.

It has a deep enough story, nice quality animation and the fights are FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!

I haven't read the manga so the fights may be better in it i dont know. Nor do i know how much better the manga apparently is but i do know i MUCH PREFER watching anime as opposed 2 reading manga and as far as anime goes they have done a great job, its better than 80% of the other anime in the genre that is released.

Just out of curiosity....What do u think of GURREN LAGANN ?

I won't made it to episode 08 if i were not watching it anyway, It's just they are overdoing the ecchi making it uncomfortable to watch. XD

Anime used to be a lot more violent. The amount of shows like this is nothing to what it was 20 years ago, it had just died down to almost nothing in the early 2000's.

Oh sure, old anime had a lot more gore and nudity than the shit today, but FREEZING? Comparable to those? Homage? What homage? Chicks getting beaten up a little whilst getting their clothes torn up (well, chest portion and skirt specifically) and that's gore? And I can't even recall a single old anime that uses ecchi fanservice as its main focus and selling point the way shit like FREEZING does.

Let's see body parts flying off and intestines pouring out, and add some rape whilst you're at it, or, even better, portions of female bodies hanging off the ceiling/on the walls, then we'll talk about old school nudity and gore.

yep thats japanese studios ruining manwha (korean manga if you didnt know) for you and yes freezing is orginally a manwha.

Exactly, in my early days of anime watching i was watching stuff like, Ninja Scroll, Wicked City, OEDO Cyber City 808, Urotsukidoji-Legend of the Overfiend, The original Fist of the North Star etc...

They were all noticably more hardcore in a overall/generall sense than the majority released today are. They may have had a combination of more graphic violence/gore, nudity/sex/rape, language/adult themes etc or in many cases all of the above.

FREEZING

Personally reminds me of these cool as ever old school anime's. Im not saying its the same but it has a lot of girls fighting and getting their clothes ripped to shreds and also the themes/plot devices used are similar. Lots of times the characters end up in submissive roles etc and I mean come on....the BAPTISM that must be performed...we don't know EXACTLY what it is yet but they give sum nice hints so far and I'm sure we are all thinking the same thing... Twisted Evil
