CBUS 1st fan art contest

Let the GMs ask him for PSDs, or SAIs and stuff instead of the usual image files like .BMP, .JPEG, or whatever image he has on copy. If he doesn't have one, he's cake.

And you do know what cakes are.

Well I already got my first piece in there. Now working on one of a Lily piece.

(damn its hard to find consistant official art of how Lily's chest piece and skirt looks, they're almost all different...)

By the way, does anyone know how you'd credit resources in this contest? Like, if you used a texture of someone from DA, where would you put the credit reference? In the picture? xD; somehow I don't know if that'd be a good idea...

As long you inform and credit the artist who made the texture it should be fine, just make sure you get their consent first. And if it's from Deviant Art, you definitely should. You don't wanna troll-rolled by the community there like what they did to Gene Simmons kid now would you?

EDIT:
In regards to crediting the texture source I suggest be upfront about it in your artwork description once you enter it. Put it on the side of your entry so it won't detract from the finished piece or write it up in your e-mail to CB Management acknowledging it.

Things are heating up now as the general quality of submitted works is increasing (ie. leaving paint job stage). We still have people submitting official art though

I got the impression that this was the case from the beginning. It's not that he stopped trying, but he never was trying in the first place. Oh sure, he made a token effort to defend himself, but it was only for appearances.

Regardless, it's annoying and detracts from actually looking through and enjoy seeing new entries. If the GM's had warned him at the moment he was seen as a fraud/troll it would've saved a lot of grief.

Does any one know if artwork of characters inspired by Cosmic Break counts. Like a Needle Mog Girl.

Would a non-coloured entry stand a chance for the prize?

If you mean just line work, it may not stand a chance with a lot of entries being colored pieces. But if you creatively use black and white that enhances the piece it might work.

You may get the GM prize (since they said they're gonna give out alot) of 200Rt but not likely to get the 1st and 2nd prizes.

Nexon staff isn't that bad and they are steadily improving.

Tell that to half my guild who still can't log on and have quit due to log in problems to this day (unfortunately half of them are from different parts of the world) or the missing 25k worth of NX creds that they still have to award me for doing those damn surveys.
