Base colors done. Kind of fast (around 45 minutes since it's just a small, resized version of the big lineart version), I must say. As for the background, I'm thinking of a few designs rather than going with the default design CS uses for their help screens. I'll brainstorm on it after I get Lily-chan's shadows done.

WIP update!

Magic on layer effects! Lots of shadows, overlays, glints and gloss! My current brush set works like a charm!

Now, on to the background. I need to finish this before tomorrow midnight ends. That way, I can still play a few arena rounds before going to work.

All-nighters ftw.

WIP Update again!

Basic background work done. Thanks to that straight line technique someone posted in here, it's a breeze without having to draw straight lines manually.

PSD/Photoshop work coming up. Need to do the labels and shit.

What do you mean? Backgrounds? Layer effects? Coloring?

Ops.. Sorry for not telling you more detailed.
It's about coloring and the black line.

If you mean in SAI, then you just need to leave the lineart layer be, and create another layer for coloring BELOW it. That way, the program puts the lineart layer ABOVE the color layers. This means you don't need to set any setting for your lineart layer, and same goes to your coloring layers.

As for layer effects, you just need to create layers ABOVE the base color layer, set the layers into Clipping Mask mode, and start doing the shadows, overlays and shit.

Oh, do those on separate layers each (1 layer for shadows, 1 layer for overlays, etc.)

gotta love the eyes, somehow coloring the eyes still trouble me.

Very nice, though I think CS might shy away from advice telling the player to go outside, ever... Even if it is good advice.
